All that you agree with also, right?

--- "Will it happen, eventually? Most likely. BUT - in 2008, the feds had contingency plans that had contingency plans that never saw the light of day. Contingency plans to continue to prop up whatever could possibly be propped up. No doubt the feds are pushing this via horrible economic policy, but they keep getting right to the edge and then pulling back. Slow death. They know if it all goes at once, they are in trouble.
Once the average American has nothing left to lose, all bets are off. They will go to the ends of the earth to keep that from happening."
That is a most apt and perceptive paragraph.

best to ignore the chinese propaganda rag and think for oneself ... the upcoming event most likely to have a major impact on the stock market is whether Trump is re-elected or not ...

I have a question. Millions of Americans invest in their retirement plans as part of their pay. How can the stock market crash when this continual stream of money is being pumped in? Do these plan advisors move all their clients money into other financial areas? If not, it would seem to be impossible for the market to collapse??
To: VanShuyten
Inflation has a way of keeping stock prices high,Factor in said inflation and are they really that high?

The market isn’t going to crash, it already is falling and quickly and gaining speed. 5% is looking good and will soon look brilliant.

Me too, but approaching 98% in. And I’m getting a decent monthly dividend, too. And this will work, unless or until the dollar collapses.

Lots of never seen before. That happens when the gooberment prints enough money to raise the money supply by 500%, rockets up interest rates to "fix" the problem created, the FED tries to control their balance sheet, the consumer is flush with printed give away money, you shut down the economy for a cold and let's see what else we can dream up, oh yeah, xiden conspiring against us in every way possible.
All that and more will create disasters. No system responds well to fast changes and multiple fast changes are a disaster in action. We have one now.

Biden is horrible and is putting the country on the edge of financial ruin not only by reckless spending but involvement potentially in WW III.
We can’t let anyone off the hook for destroying the country, including Trump and the trillions he doled out during Covid.
Personally, I have not seen a single candidate on the Republican side offering up a clear plan to reverse the current situation.

I completely agree. I see the truth and hard reality too. I wish more could see the bigger picture. They are ALL out of control and I have predicted the coming full on depression for several years now.
Everyone has some false idea that they will be able to retain personal financial security. Things are about to change drastically, many of those who are overconfident will indeed be living in their cars before this is done.
