Thoughts concerns?

Just that I love John Kennedy. A successful politician who is also a very decent man is kind of rare.

Here’s my thought; Kennedy wants me to celebrate him because he got Schumer to “allow” veterans to keep a Constitutionally recognized right that neither Schumer or Kennedy had the right to restrict in the first place? Screw them both.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the
veterans to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
I looked but I couldn't find this in the Constitution.

How does that comply with “shall not be infringed”?

The original attempt at characterizing veterans' financial conservatorships as the equivalent of adjudications of mental incompetence was a nasty trick by Obama. It sounds as though Kennedy figured out a way to get the U.S. Code to read otherwise, which is why Schumer sees it as a "poison pill".
I can't see a downside to closing off that particular route to the backstabbing politicos, even if it is technically redundant to the language of the Second Amendment.
