Why would anyone who cares about this country support a Paul Ryan who is so craven and self-regarding he gives credibility to the fascist Democrats filing “91” fake indictments against a political opponent?

Alarmed by the dominance of Donald Trump less than 100 days before the Iowa caucuses, Sen. Mitt Romney ....

Bones: He's dead Jim.

Romney said he told Ryan that he had no clear answer when Ryan asked him what the conservative movement would look like after Trump. Ryan touched on his own concern that the party is now driven by “populism untethered to principles” and more frequently tethered to “the cult of Donald Trump’s personality.”

Bones: The reason he died, Jim, is that he forgot about this ancient document called the US Constitution. The populists say that that contains the principles they believe in, and that Ryan and Mittens abjurred their oath under that document to "defend and protect..." Jim, these idiots walked into a snake pit thinking they were imune. Ultimately, they died of the usual causes. Abject stupidity.

I wish "Long Johns" Romney would have worked this hard to defeat Obama.
Of course to paraphrase George Wallace: "there's not a dime's worth of difference
between Obama and Mittens."

Steve Bannon said something encouraging today. It was something along the lines that the conservative/MAGA wing of the Republican Party is on its ascendency. He was specifically praising his audience for pressuring Republicans in Congress on the removal of McCarthy and then forcing Scalise out of contention for Speaker. Then he broadened that to include Boenher and Ryan. Bannon could have included others like Mittens.

Romney got his axx handed to him when he ran, and he still can’t get over it. Like Hillary, his little ego is still bruised.

Ironically, Trump would be nearing the end of his second term now - if Romney was looking forward to a post-Trump era, he extended it himself. His comments and those like him didn’t affect 99% of potential GOP voters, but when some states were determined by a half percent of the vote or less, it was enough to swing the election...any one little thing was. So, Romney, your supposed nightmare would be coming to an end...but for your own actions. Instead we all get to deal with the Biden nightmare and the disaster it has been domestically and around the world.

Mittens, Rick Wilson and Dollar Store Obama Jeffries ought to establish a DC Circle “tug” society so they can all feel so much better about the sewage they are spewing daily.

Whenever I see a pic or read a statement by RINOmney, I get visions of Spongebob Squarepants - but a Spongebob without morals or ability (even given the poor sponge’s already limited abilities). But, I still respect Spongebob. As for the RINO, ...and the horse he rode in on.

Donald Trump is “tethered” to conservative principles. The minute he “untethers” himself, he will be done. Not the other way around. Rush was the first person to say this if I remember right.

George Romney went after Nixon; then joined his Cabinet. Mitt goes after Trump though he tried to get appointment in 2017 for secretary of state.

In 2012, I evaluated 4,442 essay written by 5th graders on the topic of (approx.) “Who do you respect?”

Around 25 - 35% cited Barack or Michelle.

The number of Romney enthusiasts was MUCH easier to count.

One.

Not 1%.

One (1) of the essayists consider Mitt Romney to be a man worthy of admiration.

At that point, I knew that the game was rigged, the fight was fixed, and Mr. Romney had already volunteered to serve as the fall guy, the one who would take a dive for “the greater good.”
