You’re doing great! Stop believing your lying eyes.
I believe inflation is much higher and that is based upon my household budget for 5.
Insurance costs (homeowners/auto) have risen about 20%
The cost of energy (utilities/gas/propane) have risen more than this figure since 2020.
The cost of groceries/food is the largest increase that I have seen.
The cost of borrowing money has gone way up for credit cards and auto/home loans.
The bottom line is that the things that matter most to the average American family, common household expenses, have increased drastically in 3 years.
I’ll bet Gavin Newsom is the D nominee, I wonder how he plans to improve on this.
Yes. Some of that is wages for workers (many states have jacked them up) because its hard for businesses like that to find enough workers unless it is on a college campus.
Eating out has gotten absurd. A few years ago two cheeseburgers at McDonalds set you back about 3 bucks. 5 years ago it was 2 bucks. Now it is 6 dollars!
THAT would be a 5.5 % increase....
Thanks
Food stamp people got a 12.6% raise.
Question: is the little 3% Social Security adjustment going to be accompanied again by an increase in taxes?
And 3% is not 17%.
Dem voters can thank Biden for that. GOP voters already have a grudge to settle over their financial losses.
A full tank for my car is about $110.00
Fill up on my truck is $160.00
Krugman: “Inflation is over. Except for everything you need to live.”
Nope. You've got to log in now. One of the "improvements" Musk made.
I'm always logged in so I forget this.
I will never call Twitter "X." My browser says twitter.com and that's good enough for me.
I’ve never been registered on Twitter (or FB or Instagram or any other social media), so I am unlikely to register for X. Once YouTube completes its implementation of blocking/suspending/deleting users who refuse to disable ad-blocking, I won’t be able to go there either.
I got an email from social security and checks will go up a whopping 3.25% for 2024.
NO ONE should be dependent upon their Social Security stipend, for a living.
Seriously.
Of course they did but God loves you too.
I have a Twitter account, but I so seldom use it, I don’t
even know if it’s still active.
Seems silly to me, and I guess it’s Musk. Oops...
Trump's tax cuts expire at the end of 2025..
Thanks. True.
Still want to hear more.
Just saw Medicare Part B premium to increase 6%.
