Israel's armed forces have released dramatic footage of the moment elite troops retook control of a checkpoint overrun by Hamas, and freed 250 hostages.
Video from body cameras worn by members of the Flotilla 13 elite unit was released on Thursday evening. The naval commando unit - the equivalent of the U.S. Navy SEALS - is specialized in counter terrorism.
Bodies are seen on the floor of one darkened room. It is not known if they were hostages or terrorists.

This was exceptional work by the Israeli military. But it must be noted that it occurred in Sufa, a kibbutz in Israeli territory. This was not a rescue operation in foreign territory.
That being said, I absolutely expect Israeli special forces to strike into Gaza, if they haven’t done so already. Maybe we will hear about that. Maybe we won’t.

I looked at the front of the Dallas Morning News this morning before racing off to work.
NOTHING about Israel in the first several scrolls - my interpretation of above the fold, or Front Page.
A weak blurb about “the latest” from Israel at the bottom of a local news section.
That’s it.
