Former President Donald Trump anticipates Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) campaign will soon run out of funds and the Florida governor will exit the presidential race.
Trump took to Truth Social on Tuesday to share his prediction, likening his foe to “a wounded bird falling from the sky.”
“He has proven to be a terrible and inept candidate who even fought Social Security and MediCare,” Trump wrote before calling DeSantis’s struggles a “beautiful thing to watch.”
“He will SOON be out of money and dropping out of the race for President,” Trump said. “After having single handidly gotten him elected Governor, with no thanks or glory, it has been a beautiful thing to watch. Good luck Ron!”
Trump’s forecast comes on the heels of a New York Times report from last week indicating the DeSantis campaign is severely strapped for cash, having $13.5 million in cash on hand heading into October, with only $5 million of that being eligible to be used in the Republican primary.

Trump knew before anyone else that DeSantis was planning to run for President, and people attacked him for saying it, whining: “DeSantis hasn’t even announced he’s running yet.” They were wrong then, and anyone claiming Trump isn’t right this time around, is clearly delusional.

I hope he stays. It brings some humor to the situation.
I liked DeSantis as a governor, but as a candidate for national office he has been horribly inept. Its become increasingly painful to watch him self destruct. Staying in the race only damages his future political viability IMO.

Trump’s infatuation with the nation’s best governor is beyond embarrassing. Trump can keep huffing and puffing and repeating himself with his paid for useless polls like a broken record, but RDS is not going to drop out.

Any time I see that phrase I get angry. Angry because if not for vote fraud Arizona would have that honor with Kari Lake instead of the moron commie it has right now.
He probably will drop out after he loses Iowa and go back to Governator in the gator State. We may not even have an election the way things are going.
