Russia Rocked by Simultaneous Drone Attacks, Videos Show
Newsweek ^ | Oct. 1, 2023 | Ellie Cook

Russia was struck by drone strikes in at least two different regions early on Sunday, Moscow's Defense Ministry has said, as videos circulating online on Sunday seem to show uncrewed aircraft-type drones soaring over Russian soil.

One clip, reportedly filmed in Russia's Smolensk region, appears to show an explosion as a drone dips from view...

Ukraine targeted Russia's Krasnodar region with an "aircraft-type" drone at around 8 a.m. Moscow time on Sunday, Russia's Defense Ministry said. Six planes scheduled to arrive at Sochi airport, on the Black Sea coast in the Krasnodar region, were diverted to alternative airfields because of the drone, Russian state news agency Tass reported.

Telegram channel "Shot" reported that a Turkish-made Bayraktar fixed-wing drone was used in the strike on Krasnodar, although Newsweek could not independently verify this.

Just an hour later, three more UAVs were destroyed by air defenses over the Smolensk region, which borders Russia's staunch ally, Belarus, Moscow said...

Russian state media have also reported a UAV over Belgorod, near the border with Ukraine, although the Russian Defense Ministry has not provided an update on this.

Ukraine has frequently launched unmanned vehicle strikes on Russian territory. Drone strikes launched by Ukraine have repeatedly reached Moscow, bringing the gruelling war in Ukraine closer to home for many Russians...

but if “it’s over”, as you allege, then how is Ukraine still able to strike deep inside Russia?

events on the battlefield say you’re lying, it’s obviously not over yet

Define Ukraine.
Mercs or US SpeOps aren’t Ukraine.

Zelensky begging, 16 year olds being press ganged into service, and drafting women are sure fire signs of losing.

No more US money is game over.

It is interesting how the Ukraine-Russia war is being fought in Western media.

From the simple perspective of two non-NATO nations at war with each other, both sides experience attacks and losses and wins as they occur. What a surprise -- not.

It is interesting how the Ukraine-Russia war is being fought through the posts and comments on Free Republic threads.

For those of us who haven't "a clown in the center ring" or do not want to pay for those who want to see their favorite clowns, it daily amuses how "sis boom, rah-rah" is so crucial.

My take. The war is political. And becoming more political as the presidential elections draw nearer. Biden-Blinken-Nuland-Sullivan want an accomplishment on which to campaign, and keep Trump ( tainted by Hillary Clinton's Russia-gate screech dating from 2016 and forward ) off the ballot.

At this point in our nation's history, the political elite will not easily give up their 'profitable' militarism, their climate change games, their pharmaceutical profiteering or their attack on free speech, all sustained by putting the whole mess on a credit card. Time will tell, but....

No, the current destruction of the Russian invaders headquarters and logistics areas is being successfully conducted with British supplied missiles.

You over emphasize the role of the USA. Dying Russia is opposed by the factories of the world

Haggard Mother Russia is presently running around in a dirty nightgown with the hem lace dragging on the ground

meanwhile, Russia is falling apart

they barely have enough diesel to bring in the fall harvest

planes are flying with expired parts ... only a matter of time till an accident happens

oil production is slowing because they can’t get Western equipment

etc.

the denialism is strong with you Russian shills!

There will always be numerous grifts going on.
I think the ironic lesson learned by some, is that most never learn from history.
Any “victory” attained in politics for “the people” will immediately be undone somewhere else twofold.

--- "Entropy increases…"

This alone is a fine argument for localism over globalism.

As Elinor Ostrom showed, the solution to the "tragedy of the commons" seems to come down to sheer size. When the commons is the swimming pool in your HOA, the problem and arguments over its solution are ring fenced by the small population which must address the issue. Even such things can gin up hefty emotions and conflict.

True to form, "economists" and their allied idiots argue even over Ostrom's solution, because humans are so very human.

Such as "the world's policeman," "save the planet" and all are "commons" so large that there can be no real solution. The professional politician is mostly aware of this, and uses "a crisis" first as a guarantee of his continuing importance and gathering of his sinecure for his future. The little guy be damned.

Cut "commons" down to manageable sizes, and the globalists find themselves simply not very important, except in running their own scams.

How to solve the sand migration along a beach on a sea island? The UN has no idea. How to rebuild after a fire? Locals know. Locals do. And national and international politicians rush for their photo ops....

The tragedy of the commons is essentially solved. Entropy increases when the frame of a problem is too large. Entropy can be managed, as when I neaten up my desk and catch up on the filing. Or mow a lawn, which is in the offing today.

I won't and can't ask the globalists or even nationalists to mow for me. All they can do is "blah-blah-blah." Entropy at our house will be kept in check this day, a lovely, autumnal day. Best wishes.

When a name caller calls another name caller a "name caller," it becomes a delight to await the next salvo in a war of name-calling. Unless he runs to Mommy to cry foul. Gosh, this can be fun....

Sorry there buddy, but the American taxpayer has been placed foursquare into the center ring, and whether you realize that or not, your wallet and perhaps your safety is involved and jeopardized by the "clowns" more deeply every day.

--- "...your wallet and perhaps your safety is involved and jeopardized by the 'clowns' more deeply every day."

Thanks. I am that aware. Which is why I say stop spending money on a national debtors' credit card for a "not my circus and not my clowns." non-NATO war.

That stance does not make me pro-Z or pro-P and most assuredly not pro-Biden, pro-Blinken and pro-Nuland. Nor pro-The Institute for the Study of War Profiteering. As my tagline says, it's time to "degrow government."

Actually past time.
