I don’t know about that. Biden got a lot of votes from older Democrats based on name recognition alone. The Biden name was magic. I’m guessing with older Democrats the Kennedy name is even more so.

Quick side story: An older guy I know is a devout Catholic and an old-school Democrat. He has two pictures on his fireplace mantel. On one side is the pope. On the other side is JFK.

I don’t talk politics with him. But I suspect he just might abandon Biden for Kennedy. After all, there is no picture of Biden on the mantel.
