Every ooga-booga ‘shutdown’ that has ever happened always ended up with whatever agency being ‘shut down’ with its workers getting a vacation and then reimbursed in pay when the budget eventually passes.

Nobody was ‘made homeless’ by it, nobody starved because of it and SS and Medicare/Medicaid didn’t stop. The only real effect was that parts of the National Parks system were shut down or limited - mainly as sort of some kind of revenge effort by Democrat Administrations. It’s all BS.
