It has been a couple weeks or so since we last checked in with the reporters at CWBChicago for an update as to how well the responding social workers are doing in reducing crime in Chicago. Since I've seen little to no reports of their success since one such worker was a party to a crime during the July 4th weekend, I assume their group has retreated back behind their clipboards in AC cooled offices to render their reports rather from acting in person on the street. (Or, they have thrown off the mantle of "social worker" and returned to the better paying job of "criminal"). Which, I suspect, will be deemed a success of the program.

What else is going on in Chicago in regards to the "reduction in crime", you might ask. Well, as the above article indicates, it appears students at DePaul University are being targeted. I've heard no reports of an actual reduction in crime so maybe taxpayers should send more money for more street social workers.

But, at least the robbers are not being forced to suffer any harm and receive little to no repercussions for their actions.

I was a student at DePaul and lived on campus in the mid 70s. It was a nice Lincoln Park neighborhood back then. DePaul was liberal as hell back then, but Ray Meyer was the Blue Demons’ coach, the Chicago Symphony String Quartet was the string quartet “in residence”.
It was a safe area back then.
It’s sad to see this.

Screw this crap. Don’t be a victim. Chicago’s Mayor and “prosecutor” can go to Hell.
