I disagree. Crime victims do not deserve to be victims. Even if they live in a place which people of Free Republic have disdain for.
Then we can have the debate about why do they vote Democrat. Go for it if you like.

College kids. If they ask Jo Jo, I’m pretty sure he’ll give them back the money they lost.
At some point the first major college will announce that they are MOVING out of LaHood and into a relatively safe area for their students. When that happens, all hell will break loose.
But, from the perspective of the colleges, the cities they located in were NOTHING like the Third World s-holes that they are now, so moving makes sense.
...and what also makes sense is that THOSE SAME COLLEGES literally led the way in creating these s-holes.
Lincoln Park is (was) the best, most expensive and safest part of Chicago!

I was a student at DePaul and lived on campus in the mid 70s. It was a nice Lincoln Park neighborhood back then. DePaul was liberal as hell back then, but Ray Meyer was the Blue Demons’ coach, the Chicago Symphony String Quartet was the string quartet “in residence”.
It was a safe area back then.

When they advocate for criminals and a lawless society they deserve what they get.
These are the people that are dreaming of putting you in a gulag, who vote to kill babies, and mutilate children. They believe voter fraud is OK as long as it is their side doing it. You cannot have sympathy for the wokeratti. It is like watching the nature documentaries of lions chasing gazelle, No matter how much sympathy the the filmmaker has for the gazelle they don’t intervene. It isn’t cruel that the lion kills the gazelle, it is just nature. The only hope the left has is to be confronted with the full, ugly, and dangerous consequences of their ideology, that’s just nature.
They don’t think like you do. They cannot be reasoned with. They are irrational, indeed, delusional, they cannot be persuaded with kind words. Force must be used. It is better if the force comes from their own people.
What if like Men in Black or ones for Jehovah Witnesses some conservatives would go door to door among students there and pass out pamphlets that say “Soft on crime Democrats are allowing you to be crime victims. Some suffer in the hospital. Others die. You are responsible if you keep voting Democrat.”
Collar Counties all voted for Obama, Hillary and Biden. The folks in Naperville who vote 60% Dem in national and statewide elections deserve what is coming to them.
That works for me.
Like so many other social issues - the only ways to deal with this criminal activity is to elect more democrats and raise taxes.

Wait, now...they've been killing each other by the dozens each week and it's not made a dent in the crime rate.
The “they” I am referring to are the criminal thugs that are robbing and mugging unarms citizens and shop keepers. The “they” you are referring to are the gangbangers and ghetto types shooting up their own neighborhoods.
The epidemic of blatant robbery and crime in broad daylight would cease if thugs and gangbangers knew there was a genuine possibility their target or potential victim was armed and prepared to defend themselves, or that there was an anonymous unknown individual prowling the streets shooting hunting them.
Gangbangers, thugs and anybody else that preys upon strangers in the street are cowards and emboldened to rob and murder because they know their victims are unarmed.
WADR, a distinction without a difference. I'd bet on a lot of crossover in those demographics.
