A widespread cyberattack has caused significant disruptions to many operations at MGM Resorts International, including inoperable casino machines and malfunctioning room keys in Las Vegas.
MGM owns some of the most recognizable hotels and casinos across the country, especially in Las Vegas, where it operates the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and of course the MGM Grand, among others. Now, a recent cybersecurity breach has wreaked havoc at many of those properties.

I read this morning that MGM had thrown in the towel and paid the hackers 15 million in ransom, I’m guessing it was paid in bitcoin making it much more difficult to track.

Thats silly. Grocers can’t even sell a loaf of bread when power goes out. lol
We just got back from a week-long stay at Bellagio. We didn’t see any machines down. They did seem to be paying better! :-)
They did have many issues with the computer system that handles checking into and out of the hotel. Especially, all kinds of financial transactions. It’s a mess.
