US incomes fall for third straight year under Biden admin as more people ‘cut back’ and work multiple jobs: Census Bureau

You aren’t just imagining it: Your paycheck didn’t go as far last year as it did the year before — or the year before that.

Inflation surges outpaced the average pay raises of US workers in 2022 — the third consecutive year under President Joe Biden in which Americans have seen their standard of living take a tumble, according to fresh data from the US Census Bureau.

Inflation-adjusted median household income fell to $74,580 in 2022 — a 2.3% decline from the 2021 average of $76,330, the federal agency reported on Tuesday.

The result has caused many cash-strapped New Yorkers to go out less, buy cheaper groceries, borrow from their family to pay rent – and even consider a move to Canada to escape the crushing impact of the administration’s touted Bidenomics, The Post found.

Recess Hyde, 34, said he works two jobs, in fashion and marketing, to get by.

The Bushwick, Brooklyn, resident said he has begun researching menus online before a date to avoid getting shocked when the bill arrives.

“I feel it in my dating life,” Hyde told The Post on Wednesday.

“I’ve cut back on girls.”

The size of the labor force is also spiking - it has increased by nearly 3 million people from the beginning of the year. It is now at 168 million, compared to 165 million in 2019.

So many people need to make money, and are getting jobs. Early indicators show that wage increases are greater than inflation, but you’re definitely beating inflation if you weren’t working before, but now you are.

We used to call it a “second job”.

Now, in order to make it sound cool, they call it a “side hustle”

They don’t even try to promise better times ahead. The Dem party line is that everything is already great. They don’t really expect you to believe it, it’s a loyalty test.

The larger point is that the Census Bureau would honestly report negative news for Biden. Look in the sky-—the bat signal has been posted; Joe’s time is up.

Queer isn't it, how incomes keep ratcheting down never recovering and prices keep going up never coming down?

Wait for it. The last round of price increases in goods and particularly transportation never went down when fuel prices decreased did they? Well, they will ratchet up again on the basis of fuel prices going right back to where they were before they went down. Any excuse for a price increase. Never let one go to waste. Never absorb anything as long as you can pass it along.

Wait until next month when about $40 billion in student loan repayments get sucked out of the economy. Yahoo!

If your think the whining is loud now…just wait a couple of months. It will be deafening.

A GIRL that really is interested in you doesn’t REALLY want a high priced menu restaurant in the first place.
