Probably every post on tis forum can be taken in as many ways as viewers/readers.

Sometimes plain as day, sometimes a sarc without the slash.

many posts posted with the intent of brevity, thinking the reader is on the same wavelength as the poster.

Such thinking gets many a argument started here, our background covers the entire spectrum

Sometimes we just need to not grind the sear so smooth.

If truly interested, ask the poster to clarify.

Unless the incumbents name is Paul or Johnson....stop electing them

Unless the incumbents name is Gaetz, Biggs, Cammack...stop electing them.

All the others are 100% in on all of this sh*t.

What the judge from Wisconsin and Eastman revealed in this testimony is not something I’ve even read about. Insane what they were allowed to get away with.

If, just from this small piece, someone still denies the sh*t that went on in 2020, they have some issues and there’s no fixing them.

And Republican cowards say nothing.

And that includes DeSantis who wants us to move on.

I did but he decided to say that he wouldn't clarify.

Now, if he were saying that President Trump and his people are being unjustly being put in front of false and skewed political witch hunts (think; Moscow show trials), then he and I are on the same page.

But citing Nuremburg all by itself implies that the trial was unjust, unfair - and that somehow the Nazi leaders were really innocent of mass murder.

Not on the same page.

I do have a somewhat smooth sear -

I did, in fact smooth my M14 sear a bit too much in 1967: I put my rifle down on its bipod by a riverbank when I was tasked to fill some canteens. I got into the center of the river when a burst of fire hit the water in front of me - and I scrambled out of the water so fast, the bystanders swore that I ran across the top of the water - and everyone was laughing.

My brand-new lieutenant was red-faced and holding my rifle and said, "Gee Chainmail - you sure have a light trigger!"

The judge reminds me of judge Freisler who presided over the trials that tried the conspirators who tried to kill Hitler. His name was Roland too.

Freisler, as portrayed in Sophie Scholl - Die letzten Tage (Sophie Scholl - The Final Days)

Thank you. A relevant comparison, I think. There’s an actual film of Freisler screaming at the Valkyrie defendants before he orders them to be tortured and hanged.

I was at the 200 yard line on the 1000 yd range getting tips from one of the "older gents". he said, squeeze it so light it surprises you when it goes off.

(M1A)

I did, and two rounds went off. He yelled cease fire, grabbed my rifle and double checked it to see if there was anything amiss.

Looked at me shrewdly and said, "Is this your work? maybe not so softly next time!"

Regards the other poster, I have read other post from him, and if I am not mistaken, it was probably more along the lines of we need to do to rats what was done to the nazis in Nuremburg, hang them in singles, pairs and bunches.

I could be wrong, but I like to think I'm not. ;-)

Ah yes: the M1A/M14 is a not-very-gentle-recoiler, so a too light pull does tend to add to the round count!

Mine was an actual full auto version, so the light pull was to make it easier to control the trigger: an M14 in standard form tends to empty magazines immediately, so I "adjusted" it a bit. Golf Company was quite attached to my use of that beast.

These days, I stick to a 3.5 pound letoff for my M1A and leave it there!

Perhaps my antagonist should have spelled out his meaning a bit more: I have a very light threshold for Nazis and those who want to imitate them. The only time I got thrown out of a gun show was when I vigorously objected to a guy who had all sorts of Nazi memorabilia on his table - glorifying Hitler and the Nazis (including record albums: War Songs of the Third Reich) and happily showed a pair of gloves made of human skin as part of his collection.

He and his collection were ejected too - and the show's owner had me come back in after he left.

They are basically saying if you get near Donald Trump you’re going down. How did we let this happen. And how are LETTING it happen?

“ But citing Nuremburg all by itself implies that the trial was unjust, unfair - and that somehow the Nazi leaders were really innocent of mass murder.”

No

You INFERRED that but it wasn’t necessarily implied. There is a difference. For example, I didn’t infer it, but you did. My take was that judges like this (the presiding one, not the Gableman) is using her power to persecute a defendant and that judges like that should be the targets of a Nuremberg type trial.

Even if you agree with this persecution like many leftards do, making the jump to thinking that there was a claim that the Nazis were innocent is quite the stretch.

"Even if you agree with this persecution like many leftards do, making the jump to thinking that there was a claim that the Nazis were innocent is quite the stretch."

See? Easy enough to make a generalization, isn't it?

Sequoyah just posted one word, "Nuremburg". He didn't say "this judge should be Nuremburged", or "We should get all of these people using the instruments of law to go after political opponents and subject them to a Nuremburg-type trial".

Just posting "Nuremburg" which would seem to compare the Nuremburg trials to the current indictments and trials of President Trump and his codefendants.

We know that President Trump is entirely innocent of any crimes - so the implication of that would be that the defendants in the Nuremburg trials were also innocent.

Sequoyah had the chance to clarify his one-word post but wouldn't. He could have said "Kangaroo Court" or "Banana dictatorship justice", or "Soviet Show Trial" - but no, "Nuremburg".
