Change 5 to the Manual of Military Decorations and Awards took effect on Aug. 7, 2023, and hardly anyone noticed.
That is until last week, when the Office of the Secretary of Defense returned the draft citation for the end-of-tour award for none other than the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, four-star Army Gen. Mark Milley.
Because of Change 5, Milley’s citation must use the pronoun “themself” instead of “him.”

If someone that wanted to really kick this in the teeth, make the changes the responsibility of the directing staff. If a military member is expected to be multi-sexual as determined in the change, then why were they not provided, and others future provided, the treatment of both genders?
Many things are effected by gender in the business. Women are still barred from most combat arms professions – especially the infantry and tanks. What Congress did, here, was to allow women to serve in theater at the battalion level – which was thought to be too close to actual combat situations prior to Afghanistan and Iraq. Which means there are still 230,000 jobs – roughly one-fifth of the positions in the active component – in the military that are still off-limits to women purely because of the circumstances of their birth. There goes the numbers.
There are also logistical challenges. Women and men need to be segregated when sleeping, showering and during basic hygiene. That’s going to cost a lot of tents and shower areas. It looks good on paper but in 1994, President Bill Clinton rescinded the “Risk Rule,” essentially allowing women to serve in all positions in the military except for direct ground combat roles.
So if a troop is to be treated like both genders, why are they having to compete at two (?) different levels of physical training and proficiency? Hardly seems fair. So to adjust either the women must do more or the men less. Then what do you do about those that were removed from service due to physical fitness failures using standards inconsistent with their gender since they are both?
I’ll bet we have enough bathrooms with a key in congress. Maybe they should consider a few more multi-use bathrooms in the field.

There was a time in our nation when that headline would be written differently. If you want to fix the military, the military needs to return to that time. It was feminism that began the cultural downturn in our nation and more specifically the military. Men with manners tend to be less resistant and less confrontational with women. That’s not good when the entire point of everyone in the military is to be confrontational with the enemy.
Even if you don’t serve directly with women, you are trained and commanded to behave as if you do. You are required to parrot a load of complete bull crap that has nothing to do with running an effective military. It’s a slippery slope that can been seen in the acceptance of faggots, lesbians and gender deniers. Standards have been lowered for character, intelligence and for ability. Lowered standards creates a vicious cycle. Fewer men are volunteering and as recruitment declines standards need to be further lowered. Proof: ASVAB standards were just lowered. That means the military is recruiting people with IQs lower than 83-85. They lack the ability to learn the most basic of tasks. That is incongruous with a modern military. Gone are the days of needing cannon fodder, but that’s what the geniuses at the Pentagon and in the Biden Administration.
Our military needs to be cleansed of the woke, faggots, gender deniers and women in combat roles. Standards need to be raised. Excellence needs to be demanded and zero politics allowed.

I think you have understated the problem.
When Iran called the US “The Great Satan” decades ago everybody in the world laughed.
They are not laughing anymore.
We have made many new enemies—who are ready to fight to the death to save their children from our perverts.

It has been five years since the ban on women in combat was lifted in 2015 and women began integrating previously closed combat arms billets in January 2016. But being assigned to the units doesn’t put them into trench warfare.
Where I agree with opening up as many fields in the business as possible to any qualified person, they must be able to do the job. And lowering the standards of physical fitness to accommodate anyone when lives are in question is not the answer, it is part of the problem.
I trained physical fitness for the military for over 20 years and I have yet to find a woman that can compete under the same restrictions placed upon their gender counterparts. Plus, that neutral requirement is still not in place. And neither are the assignments whether in theater or not.
The Army is unlikely to change its new physical fitness test despite Congress recently passing a law pressing the service to establish gender-neutral standards, according to two sources with knowledge of the plans.
The annual defense authorization bill passed in December 2022 directed the Army to set the same fitness standards for men and women by June. Last month, Army Secretary Christine Wormuth told lawmakers on Capitol Hill that the service had already established gender-neutral expectations for troops, but was vague about the specific standards to which she referred.
Whereas the plank standards the Navy originally released in 2020 were gender neutral for all age groups, the new standards are slightly different for men and women, according to the Navy.
The Air Force PT maintains separate scoring standards for males and females and breaks each gender into nine age groups: under 25, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and over 60.
If someone can do the job, and they are teachable and physically capable, and can execute, go for it. But there has been, and continues to be, this over the top effort to display things that are not quite as they seem.
