They should have hired "Ghost".
“Juice“ won’t be around to fly the F-16.
I think I see the problem here - 2 aircraft, but 3 pilots.
L-39 training military aircraft......nickname the “Albatros”.....that bird isn’t exactly known for it’s agility. 😏
RIP...more of Ukraine’s finest sacrificed at the altar of the globalist agenda.
When will Ukraine finally rise up and throw off the yoke of western pedo-fascism?
The Orthodox world waits and wonders...
“The article and others say it was both a training mission and a “combat mission” is it possible that they were shot down?”
No reason for pilots to train in Ukraine, given the threat there and all of the other available options. The only reason that world leaders, including Zelensky, can fly around is because Putin lets them do so.
Wow...and that was before any Russian planes entered the scene.
“a well-known pilot with the nickname “Juice” “
Has been renamed “Splat”.
🇺🇦 Ukraine's "top fighter pilot" has died after crashing his plane into another Ukrainian jet.
Why are we sending these idiots that can't speak English highly technical F-16's that require years of training? pic.twitter.com/JTDNyVTjs5— Jackson Hinkle 🇺🇸 (@jacksonhinklle) August 26, 2023
So, at what point does Zelensky send out one of his minions, maybe to the beaches or nightclubs where Ukrainians don’t seem to have a care in the world, get on a bullhorn in the back of a truck and ask the crowds if anyone can fly?
You know, just like they did in Independence Day. And one, absolute savage of a man, Russel Casse, rogered up and saved the day.
In that oblast*, my guess would be that they were chasing drones or a slowish cruise missile. “Target fixation” has killed many a pilot this way — mid-air collision of two planes going after the same target.
*No Russian SAM sites nearby.
I’m in fact curious as to why more of these L-39’s, in light attack versions, have not been sent to Ukraine, especially by ex-Warsaw Pact countries, for just that sort of defensive well-behind-the-lines purpose. There are lots of these around, they are low cost and low maintenance cost, the landing gear can handle rough strips, etc.
Nothing good could come of me commenting on this one...
"According to the air force's Telegram page" → "Ukraine's air force spokesman Yuri Ihnat told Ukrainian television" → Associated Press → Breitbart London.
It is interesting how variants on the classic game of Chinese whispers may be seen in "reporting." Republishing for wider audiences seems the order of the day, alongside other sorts of reporting in which many more than one credit for a report is given, sometimes three and more for a single news item.
Interesting.
