off topic. My first car was a VW Scirocco. I once drove it a couple miles with nine people in it. So there.

I do hope you do not mind my laughter for this brings back some goofy memories.

Most on my train were readers or sleepers but it only takes one a-hole. Not counting a few that had been over-served before boarding.

The train home just before Christmas with double the usual number of cars and making two stops at each station so the cars align the platform, packed to the gills! And I always left early to catch a noon train. Still, all were in high spirits, you could feel the buzz!

Sub zero mornings when the f-n door would freeze wide open!!! You could stand in another car or freeze in place.

Frozen switch gear and no trains can move, for hours, cell network jammed!! Some jumped off, the local neighborhood is terra incognita...Legend has it the gangbangers do not venture out in the cold?

The best is seeing stalled bumper-to-bumper traffic and I’m rolling along to home.

We’ve already had this conversation.

You already know that the way to deal with the Van Allen radiation belts is to go quickly through the thinnest parts on a high inclination orbit.

Your continued rejection of the truth in favor of ignorance and error is inexcusable.

Pearls.

Swine.

Have a nice day.

I am certain many Russian Engineers are incompetent. Why? Because most American Engineers I work with are incompetent!

Eons ago, I worked for a few weeks in a near arctic Inuit village.

Try NINE people on a 4-wheel ATV. The saddle kind, not a gator.

Most of ‘em were little kids, but still ...

here’s an eye-opening quote about Putin’s malicious influence on Russian society and science -

“Konstantin Sonin, a Russian-born political economist from the University of Chicago, in a post on X, formerly Twitter, described the mission as Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “vanity project amid constant repression of intellectuals, a war on science and education that has government waged, a war on international cooperation that they waged even before they started an actual war.”

“In Soviet times, vanity was there, and military goals were there. Yet it was also a wealth of genuine enthusiasm of scientists and engineers...They used the state’s vanity and desire to have missiles to fulfill their space dreams,” he added on Sunday. “Putin’s people, besides vanity, put the money into the space project for one single reason, to have these money stolen. It would be a miracle if Luna-25 mission was successful - Putin’s people did everything to have it failed.”

Stuff like this is what causes revolutions to happen.

And I think a Second Russian Revolution is inevitable. The only question is, who will be in charge after it?

No, you declared your guilt by your assertion.

Look back at what you wrote.

Ok, so I’ll take that as “no, that’s the most dishonest argument I’ve got”.

Gee, what an ingrate! And so touchy!

Here I am trying to help you. I even agree with your assertion that you’re rather myopic about the future, and all I get in return is grief.

Some people just can’t be pleased.
