The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors’ decision to designate July American Christian Heritage Month, which sparked opposition from some residents, has now drawn protest from a national organization that promotes the separation of church and state.

So, “gay pride” month. Fine.
A month acknowledging the nation’s objectively Christian heritage. Demonic screeching.
Love it. My wife and I own some property in El Dorado County. We were hoping to retire there, but unfortunately it’s still part of California. Most of the county is very conservative, especially in the Sierra foothills. If they’d join up with the State of Jefferson, we might just repatriate!
The Freedom From Religion Foundation, an advocacy nonprofit for atheists, agnostics, and nontheists that supports the separation of church and state, wrote to the Board of Supervisors on July 28, calling the proclamation “problematic” and “a clear breach of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.” …Just in case anyone was wondering as to the identity of the pot-stirrers. Same old usual suspects.
But black , Hispanic and gay pride months are okay (probably missing a few other months too)?
Just have an American Christian Heritage naked bicycle ride, and this will all blow over.
“Just have an American Christian Heritage naked bicycle ride”
I’m not sure that’s what that verse about “standing naked before the Lord” was all about.
I hate all the stupid months. It Balkanizes the USA.
They had a stupid Jewish month now. Or antisemitism month. Stupid blue (yellow?) squares were everywhere.
All it did was cause trouble for my kids.
What verse is that?
Hebrews 4:13 I think is the one I was thinking of.
Awww. Poor babies.
All residents aren’t happy no matter what you do. So what?
This group is a Madison Wisconsin chick. (maybe a couple chicks. Stirs this crap up all over the state - spit)
I wasn’t suggesting that anyone actually participate, just that it would be an event that leftists wouldn’t object to.
