Pretty good opinion piece. If Trump would stick to writing things like this (even if actually written by others) instead of constantly launching snide insults almost always aimed at other Republicans on his Twitter site, he might win a few of his supporters back.

But, on the Russiagate thing, Trump really deserves a lot of the blame for Mueller being appointed, himself, by way of his Sessions appointment to AG. I’m sorry if that makes people mad, but for those who don’t remember, Sessions famously recused himself, leaving another Trump appointee, Rod Rosenstein, in place to appoint Mueller.

It came out later in testimony that Trump never even asked Sessions whether he would recuse himself, before appointing him, even though the sprouts of the Russiagate investigation were already evident. He should have made absolutely sure WHOEVER he was appointing as AG, was going to be his wingman on such issues.

Even worse, according to reports, Sessions offered his resignation to Trump, immediately after he recused himself. Even turned in the resignation letter, which Trump took to review, but then told Sessions he wasn’t accepting it. Obviously, he should have, as it was years later before Mueller was ever reigned in.

I get it that Trump was probably overwhelmed at the time, and had already just canned his National Security Advisor Flynn, and didn’t want to fire his new Attorney General almost immediately afterward, but the selection of Sessions as AG, had as much to do with the Russiagate investigation getting out of control than anything.

A lot of you will also be mad that you think I’m nitpicking on Trump, when I should only be mad at the FBI. Well, to that I say, I was mad at the FBI on here for years, while Trump was President, and a lot of good that did. Basically nothing’s changed. So I’m just mad at the whole situation now. I want some new blood in DC. ANYONE who was in a position of power there the last 5 years needs to go.

He and the military will be in charge of whatever transpires but there will not be another stolen election in 2024.

You truly believe Trump is running a shadow White House from Mar-a-Lago and retains full control of the military.

This is why I love this place!

- Ron DeSantis was still a Florida US Representative.

That's not a real position of power. He was never even a committee chair, or close to it.

- Nikki Haley was...President Trump's UN Ambassador

That IS a position of power. Don't want her anywhere near DC again.

- Mike Pence was...

VICE PRESIDENT. We shouldn't want ANY of the people who were in those types of positions back. They FAILED. And were actually even embarrassments.

I guess Vivek is your man.

That phony can't even answer the question on how many times he's voted, even at his age. He's obviously a cutout fraud.

I would follow this man to the gates of Hell and beyond.

Wow, Lurker. That Trump opinion piece in Newsweek is a one for the history books. It clarifies in a few short sentences exactly what we’re fighting for.

Tack this one on the wall alongside Lincoln’s Gettysburg address.

While his RINO competitors are fighting for who is the most “anti-woke”, President Trump brings the focus back to the true existential fight on our hands. The very survival of our Republic and freedoms is at stake!

LOL

@DavidCornDC
Newsweek just allowed itself to be used as a disinformation platform by a man who aided and abetted an attack by a foreign adversary on the United States. It published a piece chockfull of lies and misrepresentations. This is propaganda. Disgraceful.

I agree. I support him completely but do get tired of hearing him, or anyone for that matter, go on and on about how much money he has. I turned on the PA rally for about a minute the other night and that’s all he talked about. Of course, it was only a minute but if he would get off “me, me, me” and just hit the facts on the corruption, what his plans are it would be fantastic. But the 2024 is already done, the left has the votes tabulated already

Yes, the artwork, but sometimes we need to search for the spiritual meaning of things. It’s really up to Trump more than his followers to declare how much he relies on God’s help, and of course his background makes this a bit of a leap of faith to say the least, but if not Trump, then who?

Jesus Christ is not eligible to be president but that’s the sort of outcome needed to sort this mess out. A servant of God is the next best thing.

But yes, the artwork is a bit much. Even so, if you try to imagine similar art built around Joe Biden, it would be an instant fail. The eagle would be saying, “the guy’s a crook” and biting his hand.

When the abortion decision came down, Trump gave God the credit.

Now, honestly, if any of our super Christian past Republican President had been in the same position, would any of the credited the Lord in that way ?

Now I don’t claim Trump as some ultimate Christian Holy Man. He doesn’t claim that for himself.

But I’d rather have Trump than a snake like Pence, with the Bible in one hand, and a black hat in the other.
