OAKLAND, Calif. - Violence in Oakland has reached a boiling point, that NAACP's Oakland chapter asked that the city declare a state of emergency, and now, the regional branch is doubling down.

Just days ago, the Oakland chapter of the organization wrote a letter to the city saying in part:

"Failed leadership, including the movement to refund the police, our District Attorney’s unwillingness to charge and prosecute people who murder and commit life-threatening serious crimes, and the proliferation of anti-police rhetoric have created a heyday for Oakland criminals."

On Saturday the chapter that oversees the entire state of California showed their support for the message. In a statement, the NAACP of California and Hawaii said:

"Our Community members are in danger and elected officials are turning their heads away…. We are calling on the mayor to step up and work with the Oakland branch to address this critical issue and call for a state of emergency."

>> “Failed leadership, including the movement to refund the police...”

Being foolish, I contemplated this quote for too long eventually realizing there was no movement to refund the police... lol

Unfortunately, too many have suffered under the false pretext that necessitates racially dysfunctional outcomes that ultimately serve none other than the race hustlers. The NAACP must first clean its own backyard.

surely it should say “defund the police”, not “refund”...given the rest of the sentence, which includes -

“and the proliferation of anti-police rhetoric”

the end of the article also mentions more funding for policing.

That’s what the majority of South Africans want. A RETURN TO WHITE RULE.

This all reminds me of an old saying: be careful what you wish for, you may just get it.

They got what they wanted (and voted for). Too bad, so sad.

They’ve no one to blame but themselves, the feral savages.

The Problem is not Glock, Ruger, or Smith & Wesson...
The Problem is Quintavious, Ed’Draeson, and Jamiroquai.

Methinks I see a pattern.

• Mayor Sheng Thao (D)
• Vice Mayor Rebecca Kaplan (D)
• State senator Nancy Skinner (D)
• Assemblymembers Tim Grayson (D) and Mia Bonta (D)
• U. S. rep. Barbara Lee (D)

That and demographics.

In Summary: There seems to be a reluctant recognition on the part of the naacp (without saying it directly) that the most dangerous places to be for black people are in areas where black on black violent crime is rampant. Oakland is completely controlled by democrats, they have a black democrat police chief and they are in the socialist state of California.

This is supposed to be the model the dems want across the nation, yet black people are still in danger there despite the ridiculous claims by the naacp that Republican-led Florida is supposedly the place that is "dangerous" for black people because of the push-back against CRT in the schools.

With all of the renaming of schools and parks, and the tearing down of statues, it's surprising that no jurisdiction with significant minority majorities has made a push to rename the town or city "Wakanda", in order to symbolize who's in charge there. Do they really all think that Wakanda is imaginary and not an ideal they should be striving for?

Oakland becomes Wakanda, California.

Philadelphia becomes Wakanda, PA.

Newark becomes Wakanda, NJ.

It would a more popular placename than Springfield. And, just like calling a street MLK drive, it would help people identify where not to go. At least until they work a few issues out.

"Failed leadership, including the movement to refund the police, our District Attorney’s unwillingness to charge and prosecute people who murder and commit life-threatening serious crimes, and the proliferation of anti-police rhetoric have created a heyday for Oakland criminals."

And when the overwhelming majority of them turn out to be black, then what?
