Video: Mitt Romney Argues That It Shouldn’t Be Illegal For Government To Use Big Tech For Censorship

During a Senate hearing Wednesday, Mitt Romney argued against an amendment proposed by Rand Paul to make it illegal for government to use social media and big tech companies to censor the views of Americans.

Paul put forth the case that “the First Amendment really isn’t about protecting the speech of government workers the First Amendment says Congress shall make no law it’s about limitations on government involvement with speech.”

Paul continued, “if Twitter says bad things about me and puts up bad things and takes me down I have no recourse against Twitter, same with Facebook. I’m mad, I hate that YouTube has taken my speeches down I don’t do business with them anymore, because I think they’re bigoted, biased and wrong-headed on this.”

Why does Utah GOP citizens vote for this guy? He is not conservative, doesn't live in Utah, and seldom even visits the state. He betray conservatives at every turn. I also suspect he is closer to the Biden family corruption than anyone might think. Romney is an equal opportunity, work-across-the-aisle" grifter!

Romney never ceases to reduce my opinion of him, and that should be pretty hard since it is already zero.

I think the Utah citizens are awakening to who “Pierre Delecto” really is. He’s being exposed as well. 🙂

The Cabal loves censorship as long as they get to be the censors.

If someone censors them it is “insane fascism” of course....

A snake. A senator snake is better than a Romney as POTUS snake.

*Why does Utah GOP citizens vote for this guy?*
Gotta be the Mormon thing. Just look how they turned around Nv. and Az. Think Harry Reid, and Jeff Flake. Oren Hatch was tolerable-might of been the best we could get there. I’d hate to think McLame was the best non-Mormon we could do to keep those votes. Somewhere Jason Chavezz is waiting in the wings. I we have to settle for him someday we’ll need a 55+ seat majority to function.

The Mormons have a black mark in history just like the other religions.

Never forget that the Romney, Pelosi, and Kerry sons were all part of Hunter Biden’s corruption web in the Ukraine. Romney never has a bad word to say about Biden and likes censorship very much.

You can’t recall a U.S. Senator or Representative. There are no provisions in the Constitution for doing so.

Congress expels members.
Expulsion

Article I, Section 5, of the United States Constitution provides that "Each House [of Congress] may determine the Rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds, expel a member." Since 1789, the Senate has expelled only fifteen of its entire membership. I hope that helped you.

Mitt Romney argues _________________ (insert left wing talking point here).

Mitt has never met a liberal talking point with which he was not readily willing to agree and advance.
