A new Fox News poll of early primary contest states shows that DeSantis is now behind both former President Donald Trump and his once-Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley in South Carolina.

With a 34-point lead against the rest of the field, Trump came in with a whopping 48 percent support from voters in the southern state.

Haley came in second with a distant 14 percent, leaving DeSantis in third place by 1 percentage point difference.

A Fox Business survey of Iowa Republicans shows that 46 percent of likely caucus-goers back Trump – giving him a 30-point lead over DeSantis' 16 percent. In third place is South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott with 11 percent.

No other of the 15 candidates in the GOP primary so far were able to gain double-digit support in the Hawkeye State.

Another hit piece on DeSantis. Ok. We’ll vote for Trump in the primaries and lose with Trump to Biden in the general.

Not a big surprise since Haley is from South Carolina.

Ah, another excuse for the recent why desanctimonious isn't doing well, but will
they are going to kill Trump, who are you voting for then?
Trump needs to be at the debates for people to really know Trump
"Just wait till people hear Trump hired a serial killer"
They wouldn't keep talking and posting about desantis, if they weren't still afraid of him
desantis is done, stop posting about him (? I guess if people don't read about how bad he's doing, he might get better?)

and now...
another hit piece on desantis, Trump wins the primary and biden the general

Question: Trump is at the top of the polls, far ahead of anyone else. So are you suggesting we support some guy at the bottom of the polls?

??

nothing has been done to fix the cheating mechanism, what makes you think they’re not going to cheat again? we’re going to lose anyway unless we adopt their tactics

That's half of the story. 2024 will be a blowout. Trump won't even win North Carolina. He barely won the Tar Heel State in 2020.

And that's with the GOP in charge of North Carolina.

Yes, you should vote for someone at the bottom of a poll think he/she is a better candidate.

If you think Trump is the better candidate, that is fine. But it’s not rational to support him just because he is on top in the polls. Nor is it rational to oppose DeSantis because he is lower.

If only he had waited until 2028. He would have been a schoo-in.

I'm ready for it. I hate to admit it but November '24 is going to suck. And we're making stupid strategic decisions right now.

I do not see DeSantis winning the general at all. Why? He is further right than Trump. He will not get the women vote, nor the college kids. In campaigning he loves to tell everyone how it’s done in Florida. It’s as bad as the northerners coming to Florida and telling us how it’s done up north.
