“FBI officials improperly searched “
Now when we remove the propaganda then “Improperly” becomes “Illegally”.
“The big story is not who made the database inquiry, it was WHO told them to find the information. Who is it?”
Who authorized and made the inquiry? Why haven’t they been identified and charged with Fourth Amendment violations? And fired?!!
We need stiff penalties for government employees who violate the constitutional rights of U.S. citizens. Currently, they get to shrug their shoulders and say, “Whoops, I was caught...my bad”. However, there is nothing to prevent them from doing it again and on an ongoing basis.
We have a Constitution which government agencies do not adhere to and there is no punishment for their violations. Qualified immunity is one of the worst legal precedents ever set. It basically allows those who are sworn to uphold the law to violate it at will.
“In 1967, the Supreme Court recognized qualified immunity as a defense to § 1983 claims. In 1982, the Supreme Court adopted the current test for the doctrine. Qualified immunity is generally available if the law a government official violated isn’t “clearly established.”
The fact that the concept is so widely applied is the problem. Government officials are able to say “Well no one ever told me I could not act in this manner under this exact situation”. It allows them to get away with things such as a cop twisting a elderly woman’s arm behind her back and throw her to the ground and thus dislocating her shoulder and then say no policy said they couldn’t do so. It allows city leaders to pass unconstitutional gun laws with slight changes from the previous one that was overturned, and then claim immunity even when Courts have repeatedly said they can’t do such a thing. And it allows FBI agents and courts to spy on American citizens and get away with it.
This is one of my pet peeves.
Mistakes were made, new policies are being implemented, personnel will get additional training ...
They pinky swore they would not do it again.
NAMES!!! WEW WANT NAMES!!!! Not a story WITHOUT NAMES!!
Lindsay Graham??? NEVER...he’s on THEIR SIDE!
No. It is time to stop renewing these insults to liberty!
What is the name of the FDI/s agent that authorized the illegal search?
Yeah, he sits there with a smug smirk as he either declines to answer due to “ongoing investigations” or he lies with a straight face.
Alrighty then. All good! Nothing to see here folks..move along.
It’s only “improper” when they do it, but it’s “illegal” when others do it. I’d sure live to see the criminals in government actually face charges and prosecution for their crimes.
.
Great point.
They want the US Senator Voting with them, or passing those huge Budget Increases.
Screw the others.
The FBI had a workstation inside the offices of Democrat law firm Perkins Coie.
Where “contractors”, not even FBI agents, were doing “about” queries using the 702 data.
What a F’ing Clinton answer.... depends on your definition of “none of the individuals were “surveilled” and no information was specifically collected about the lawmakers or the judge”!
.
Have you noticed Bill Barr had gone underground again?
Brett Baier has lost his friend again.
.
I think Lindsey has been on the payroll for many years.
They know all his peccadilloes, and used them.
Wow!
I was thinking more along the lines of Sen. Ron Johnson.
The Demonrats have tried so hard to stop his many inquiries into what they have been up to.
Improper or Illegal?
