It has a V shaped attack formation with the tanks and IFV right behind the engineering vehicles.

It has been the hiding place, and the truth was just on the verge of being exposed. That’s why Ukraine started the war.....again.

Second, minefields aren't many kilometers deep. The Russians may have layered multiple obstacles over kilometers, but the individual minefields will be hundreds of meters deep, not kilometers.

And to follow up your comment looking from the defense side. AT mines are intermingled with anti-personnel mines and also metal junk to simulate even more mines. The possible breaching sites are registered for fast accurate mortar and artillery fire, HE and smoke. Troops defending the minefield are dug in with designated fields of fire. A counterattack force is prepared to seal any breach of the defensive lines. SAM’s and AAA cover everything from CAS.
