Last time (Tokyo) Russia was nominally excluded for doping. Russian athletes, competing as individuals, only won 71 medals, down from 282 in Rio in 2016, and down from 436 in London in 2012.
In 1988, the last time Soviet Union competed, it finished first in the medal count. From 1996 to 2016, Russia finished 2nd, then 3rd, and then 4th. In 2020, Russians treated as a team finished 5th.

Wait, why was the Olympics started in the first place? America should just take it’s ball and go home. That’s about as mature as anything else we are doing. Makes me ashamed to be American.
