While the covid restrictions were on cruisers (fully vaccinated & wear masks) the ships were running less than half capacity and less than half price of today's prices. My wife and I enjoyed 6 cruises at incredible discounts and no lines at facilities inside ship. It was amazing.
Cruise ships are now packed to capacity. They are just way too much fun and I had a hunch cruise business would rebound.
We did 9 cruises last year when they first started back up

Going on 12 day celebrity this fall and looking forward to it. The left hates cruise ships. They think they are just floating playgrounds for rich white people and they wrong as usual.

Earlier this month we took an NCL cruise in Alaska. It was from Vancouver to Seward Alaska. 7 days. The two one-way air fares were outrageous. When my wife contacted NCL about this they gave us a “Casino” rate of $99 each coming back. So we made it a 14 day cruise with round trip airfare.

Princess gives good airfare for their cruises. Find a cruise then hit their button to find quotes for flights. You can do this before booking.
Some time back we put our non-refundable credits into the casino account intending to draw them out later.
She wanted to make one lucky pull on a slot machine but didn’t notice it had reset to highest amount. One pull and she was out $24.
She complained. Didn’t get refund but got free pulls. On about the fifth pull she hit a jackpot of almost $100.
I bought a crapload at $7. Well, a crapload for me anyway.

It’s Okay each individual has right to choose. Cruise ships are already getting overcrowded. My recent cruise on Norwegian Escape ship was so much more crowded than previous 5 when everyone needed to be fully vaccinated to board the ships.
It was a very smart move! Congrats.
At my age at 83, I am very risk averse, mostly all in Treasury bonds, until there is another 30% downturn in SPX like in 2020.
