Joe Biden’s Border Team Are All Quietly Resigning – MEDIA SILENCE
Daily Fetched ^ | June 21, 2023 | Jason Walsh

Joe Biden’s Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, John Tien, quietly resigned this week following other border team resignations as the media cycle buried the story amid the Trump indictment and the missing Titanic submersible.

Tien’s resignation comes after Customs and Border Protection chief Chris Magnus, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) acting chief Tae Johnson, and US Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz, who also resigned in the last few months.

The official media story for Tien’s resignation is he wants to spend more time with his family.

However, this comes weeks after he was giving interviews about his “new challenge” in the job, declaring his “a responsibility to be both seen and heard.”

Joe Biden’s border team resignations is no surprise given the colossal failure of his disastrous three years in office, and there is a lot to pick from.

The recent attempt to tackle the surge in border crossings ahead of an election year may be informing the departures. Tien recently refused to say whether he believes crossing the border illegally should even be a crime.

Meanwhile, Magnus resigned amidst pressure to reduce crossings.

As The National Pulse noted, Magnus appeared distracted from his priorities of increasing female recruitment and clamping down on agents’ social media posts.

Ortizis said to have sought retirement after 32 years of service and only landed the gig in 2021

“After a 32-year Border Patrol career spanning multiple Sectors, HQ tours, and overseas assignments in Afghanistan, I have decided to retire from federal service on June 30th,” he said in May.

Illegal crossings have soared to record highs for much of 2022 and 2023, and the situation is expected to worsen following the expiration of Trump-era Title 42 border controls in May.

Sen. Ted Cruz blasted Biden during his trip to the e U.S.-Mexico border in May.

“We are witnessing an absolute travesty unfolding on our southern border,” Cruz told reporters Thursday evening.

“On Monday, we apprehended over 10,000 people on the border, the highest level in history. On Tuesday, we apprehended over 10,000 people on the border, again, the highest level in history,” he said.

“There are, right now where we’re standing, more than 22,000 people camped just south of the border, getting ready to come across just in this location,” Cruz added.

“In less than a month, we’ve had over 35,000 Venezuelans cross illegally, just right here.”

Earlier this month, Democratic Party presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr (RFK) said the US-Mexico border crisis was “unsustainable” but said it was “solvable.”

“This problem is solvable,” Kennedy told Breitbart News.

“We just need an administration that has the will to do it.”

This morning I heard that they are now boarding jets in Guatemala and flying directly to selected US destinations. WTF is going on? This is surreal.

It really bothers me that people know what is going on and are willing to quit over it but still remain silent, probably to save their stinking pensions or something. This is what we have become, and I guess we must deserve the consequences.

Considering the possibility that there may be a change in management in most FedGov departments and that some of the folks responsible for the cluster-phuque at our borders may be facing jail time for their part, it would not surprise me to find that the real reason for these resignations is to relocate to a non-extradition country.

Chief Ortiz didn't, he was a major pain in the ass to the administration. He, along with the USBP union president have been razing the alarm since the beginning of the crisis.

With 32 years in service he's up against mandatory retirement. He never stopped fighting for his agents or the Border Patrol mission. I'm sure the administration is happy to see him retire.

Instead of quitting, they should have told him to sign a paper requesting butterscotch pudding when in reality it was for the border.

She is still looking for the root cause. Hopefully the American people deal with the root cause next year.

The reason is easy to guess: They don’t want their names tied to the cause of the disaster.
