Space Force general decries 'anti-LGBTQ+' laws at Pentagon Pride event, claims they affect hiring decisions

Lt Gen DeAnna Burt claimed such laws 'could be dangerous' for members of the military

Lt. Gen. DeAnna Burt, deputy chief of space operations, also claimed that such laws affect her hiring and promotion decisions, sometimes leading her to choose a "less qualified" candidate because of a preferred candidate's "personal circumstances."

"Transformational cultural change requires leadership from the top, and we do not have time to wait," Burt told those attending the event. "Since January of this year, more than 400 anti-LGBTQ+ laws have been introduced at the state level. That number is rising and demonstrates a trend that could be dangerous for service members, their families, and the readiness of the force as a whole."

Notice the "anti-LGBTQ+" laws we're clutching pearls over are focused on access to children, sexualizing and transitioning children. They have nothing to do with LGB adults engaged in relationships with one another. I don't even recognize Q as a thing in more ways than one. (Ok maybe in Star Trek Q is a thing.)

The only + laws that should be on the books are those that punish anyone knowingly, willfully and deceptively exposes a partner to HIV. This is a sexual assault, not a civil right. This is another area the Left has used tactics to bully, coerce and cajole compliance with their perverse agenda by exploiting empathy and good will for a group (HIV/AIDS patients). They're trying it again with TQ (MAPs too) by exploiting LGB cultural gains. It's evil. Not all progress is good.

The "readiness" argument has a very strong case when it comes to not excluding LGB.

One prime example is Alan Turing, the brilliant British mathematician, cryptographer & computer scientist, who was instrumental in their Nazi-defeating efforts during WW2. He was a gay man, he was convicted of homosexual acts, he was even chemically castrated. It broke him and he died of an apparent suicide in his early 40s. The Queen acted justly in posthumously pardoning him decades later.

When it comes to national defense, we need the best scientific minds no matter what gender they get into bed with at night.

“Transformational cultural change” is one of those phrases about which we should all be very suspicious. What’s the real agenda, the end game. As I said in another reply not all progress is good.

To counter that argument, the essence of the perverted behavior is a threat to our national security as history has shown. Perverted behavior looks for others to join in with their perverted behavior. Remember that.

When I bring up the 19th amendment I always have to think of my dear mother. ALL her political information came from Oprah, Rosie, and “The View.” Every times, she cancels my vote. If the world was run by women like my mother it would be a horrible place. She was fine as a mother taking care of the home and kids, but if it came to politics. Scary. And soooo many are like them. Look at the horrible women the colleges are churning out. I pity any young man trying to date.

“focused on access to children”

Indeed. You don’t see any of these people helping others. All they do is act out sexual fantasies with children present. These are really sick people (as well as the parents who take their kids to these sexual “entertainments”).

"But can you imagine the cat fights?"

Like the one between the OOD and CIC commander that caused one of our agile destroyers crash into a huge lumbering commercial ship a couple years back? I said when the Navy was considering women on warships and say it again today. They don't belong there. Now on submarines? The Navy has gone crazy with their PC crap. Worse, the Navy's woke queer crap.

Missions were successful and recruitment was up with the "Don't Ask; Don't tell" policy. Definitely not my Navy anymore.

Lt Gen DeAnna Burt

Putting women in the military has been a huge boon for military preparedness and national security.

How did we possibly manage to win WWII without the indispensable talents of Lt Gen DeAnna?

Add her to the list of those to be cashiered very early in Trump’s 2nd administration.

Not bloody likely ...

Do we have enough people who drink their own pee?

How about folks who 'do it with horses?

This woman's an idiot.

We can ALL assume Gen DeAnna Burt got her job based on sexual weirdo kink. Or Kolor. Or Kin (connected Daddy) One or more of the democrat KKK standards-- Kolor, Kink, or Kin... anything except merit.

She wants to hire based on culture trends? Great - there's a big push back against sexual freaks. By Gen DeAnna Burt standards, that means we need to drum out the sexual weirdos... or at minimum bust them down to a lower rank. Right, Gen DeAnna Burt? Culture direction counts? And it's moving against groomers.

(Hint: let's go back to 'merit'... Best and Brightest, Most Competent, natural leaders...)
