It’s a stupid way to measure weight guidelines. Glad they did away with it. Never should have had it to begin with. I remember they said George bush was overweight due to BMI. Ridiculous!!!!!

I don’t necessarily disagree with that.....it’s the reason they cite that ticks me off.
Absolutely right! It was originally developed by a mathematician to compare populations. There are bodybuilders with the same BMI as somebody with three times the body fat.
It is useful for populations studies: This state’s population has a BMI of this, or white women had a BMI of Y in 1950 and 2Y in 2020. Or white women have a BMI of Z and black women of 1.4Z. Or people who die of COVIS have a BMI 2 times greater than those who do not.
It is worthless for an individual.
