As an avid outdoorsman, I don’t know many who wear/use Northface in these parts anyway. (Montana). I think it’s been an urban/frat boy brand for wannabes for quite a while. Massive $ premium in the brand name versus legit backcountry gear.

I don’t buy north face. There is better mountaineer gear for lower 48.
I still do some mixed alpine climbs. None of the big mountains.
I know a few guides that work on Everest. North Face does make a line of gear for over 20,000 ft. The guides all say it is top notch gear.

I've got some 40+ yr old stuff, from when it was US made.

Still quite functional.

Won't buy any of the new crap, especially, now.
