A North Dakota man accused of mowing down an 18-year-old with his car because he thought the young man was a “Republican extremist” has pleaded guilty to manslaughter after initially being charged with murder.
Instead of the prospect of life in prison, Shannon Brandt, 42, now faces a maximum sentence of 10 years behind bars in connection with the death of Cayler Ellingson, KVRR-TV reported.
Brandt’s attorney, Mark Friese, told the news station earlier this month that the local prosecutor had dropped the murder charge on her own and that “it was not a part of any plea deal.”

She looks like she could knock a horse out with her breath.
Isn’t that what I said?
Nope. That's the max he could get. The minimum is time served.
I see: The Highway Patrol is now in the business of determining some one's privately-held political opinions, and broadcasting them to the newspapers?!
Imagine tomorrow's headlines:
Murdered man was unreformed Blue Dog Dixicrat, with Libertarian leanings, says Highway Patrol
Regards,
Karate had common sense. This ahole needs to be fired.
This could be fixed if you’re smart and can keep your mouth shut and hold your mud
Those 2 (Murderer/D.A.) look like they could be brother/sister...
A drunk leftist deliberately chases a young man down with his car and kills him over a political disagreement. Then gets off lightly. Looks like Joe Bidet’s plan to demonize his opponents as Nazis is working.
Conservatives are not safe in this country. Arm yourselves.
Did anything come of that action?
Other than making you feel 'better', did anything get corrected?
Literal pig.

You are 100% correct and I do. The problem is what happens when a good guy does the right thing? I believe the saying goes - "I'd rather be judged by twelve, than carried by six."
Unfortunately, in Joe braindead's america, being judged by 12 means you go to jail. In fact, in Joe braindead's america you get to go to jail without being judged by 12. Witness the DC gulags with the J6 "prisoners"
Public officials that refuse to do their job, as described by law, that result in the danger or harm of the public should be fair game to be charged with accessory to crimes. In addition, I would not, as part of a jury, vote to convict anyone who viewed these people as imminent threats to harm.
The victim met God. The murderer will meet God.
10 years prison via US law may not be the same as eternity in hell in God’s law. He would be wise adopt the victim’s faith before he dies unexpectedly.
Whoopee do
I might come to that...
