What we seniors had way back was the original style smallpox vaccine, of which the “Dryvax” mentioned briefly in the article was the last installment. It was known for having skin, rather than heart, side effects. Although the article doesn’t clearly state, most of those therein reported having developed heart problems likely had taking the newer, higher tech, allegedly safer (at least it hasn’t seemed to have been troubled by the skin issues the old literature reports the old vaccine had had) ACAM2000 smallpox vaccine, which came out in 2008.
Skin problems, Yes.
I still have a scar from that vaccine.
But that is NOTHING in my book.
