All presidents since Reagan mishandled classified memos, Trump first referred to DOJ, Archives says

Prior to former President Donald Trump, the Justice Department had not been involved in enforcing the Presidential Records Act, according to testimony from a National Archives and Records Administration official.

On Wednesday, the House Intelligence Committee released a transcript from an interview in March with NARA officials in which the agency's chief operating officer, William Bosanko, testified that the agency had "found classified information in unclassified boxes" for all the presidential administrations "from Reagan forward."

He also said the boxes of materials were in NARA's custody at the time the agency made the discovery.

However, Bosanko, who said he has “worked at the National Archives for more than 30 years,” also said he was not aware that the DOJ had any involvement with enforcing the Presidential Records Act prior to Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence and President Joe Biden, all of whom were recently found to have classified document in their possession.

Once the truth comes out, they will find that Trump is the only one who did not mishandle classified docs.

All part of the plan: turn everything Trump ever did into a felony, no matter how tortured the reasoning.

The very definition of Trumped up charges.

Yeah, but if you accept this detail....how do you resolve this? Take away all rights to classified after leaving office? Would you now go to the past ten Presidents and raid their libraries/private collection?

And the VP’s? Cheney probably has 300 boxes of classified in some bunker.

This makes perfect sense because to the MSM-Democrats, Trump was never actually President. Hillary was cheated out of the presidency, which was her rightful due.

This is what a failed state (persecuting its only good president) looks like. Pray for revival.

Yup. He ain’t the real Pres, so anything goes.

Then they doubled down and did it to us for real, and act outraged when we point it out.

Only Trump has been stripped of attorney-client privilege. Only Trump has been stripped of executive immunity.
Only Trump has been prosecuted beyond the statute of limitations with no actual evidence of a crime in the first place.
Only Trump has had his post-presidential home raided by the FBI.
Only Trump has been “impeached” after he left office.

Easy to resolve it the way it’s being resolved right now. Selective enforcement.

Unfortunately Trump clearly mishandled Presidential documents both classified and unclassified as per the Presidential Records Act. However the question should be if that mishandling was egregious enough to warrant criminal prosecution.

Personally it seems to me that Trump’s team was making an attempt (albeit clumsy and sometimes confrontational) to work with NARA to get materials to the proper storage location. Part of the problem is that Trump loves to collect memorabilia associated with him. If you have ever been to his Bedminster club you would quickly see that. I think he was really trying to keep some materials for his collection of Trumpobelia. When it comes to government records, nobody including the President can legally do that. Does that rise to criminality ??? I think not and there is no evidence that any records were destroyed, altered, given away, sold or that anyone other than authorized persons had access to them. Now everything is at NARA so in the end, no harm, no foul.

That was their insurance back up policy. Just In case if orange man bad would run again. After hearing what the whistleblower said about the FBI, CIA and DOJ I would not doubt it for one minute they planted those documents with the horde of documents that were given to trumps people. Honestly, I guess they think we’re stupid but they fixed it to where they can prosecute him. Absolutely nothing shocks me anymore. The swamp is deep, dirty and evil!
