“No Labels” has been “gaining steam” and raising money to hopefully get a candidate on the 2024 ballot, with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) at the top of the political group’s list, the New York Times reported.
The group — which has been working to allow all 50 states to vote on a third-party candidate in the presidential election — is trying to raise a large war chest in order to have a “well-funded” “unity ticket” on the ballot in the 2024 presidential election, the Times reported.

A more likely "no labels" candidate is Doug Burgum, governor of North Dakota who became a billionaire by selling his company to Bill Gates.
While he shares the same novelty of coming from a red state, he has even less of a following than Joe Manchin.

“No Labels” has always meant that they would have NO chance if people knew what they really are.

I don’t know what this means. Elections have changed a lot in my lifetime.
Used to be that as a member of a political arty, you voted in the primary for the candidate of your choice from your party. Now, here in Cali, the primaries are open. So the top two vote getters go to runoff regardless of party. It’s messy and was intended to hurt Republicans but could of course backfire on Democrats too.
We used to have to go vote, using a butterfly ballot with ink blotter. Now, it’s machines and then only if you choose not to vote by mail which is automatically sent out to every person who has been seemingly ever registered since 1849.
I said all along this was his goal and I’m sure he was holding out for an endorsement or support but got rolled and ended up supporting the porkulus bill in return for nothing. So now he’s pissed enough to run as an indie? Color me skeptical. Now if he’d quit the D party as a show of good faith that might help.
What will actually happen is 2 parties on the somewhat conservative side and one mighty lockstep one called the Dem Party on the other. With Dems winning 65% of the total.
DeSantis, Trump and another minor candidate on some states’ ballots fighting with each other as they sink in the quicksand of the 35%. Bye, bye America.
