The White House on Tuesday left open the possibility that President Biden could cut short a weeklong international trip as debt talks remain at a standstill.
National Security spokesman John Kirby confirmed that Biden will leave as planned for Japan on Wednesday for the Group of Seven summit but added, “We’re re-evaluating the rest of the trip now.”
“It’s difficult for me to tell you exactly what to anticipate at this point,” he said. “Given where we are right now, it’s also incredibly prudent and responsible for the president to take a look at the rest of the trip.”

Why do any of them have to attend? They can just do it via Zoom.
Doesn’t matter how luxurious the flight is, international travel takes a lot out of you...Biden’s staff would actually be pretty stupid to have him travel at all, unless it was something really important.

Sounds like they are waiting on the BRIBE MONEY to be paid upfront ?
Tens of millions of dollars to send their wheezing, word-slurring script-reader half-way around the world.
Just email the script to the Japanese.

Xi told him don’t go to Sydney for the meeting with India, Japan and Australia.
That’s what I figure.
Jake Sullivan is desperately trying to get a meeting with Xi so Biden can hit his head on the floor.
“incredible prudent and responsible.” Yup that’s our boy Joe, for sure. Kirby you ridiculous obtuse tool.
The debt ceiling thing can be solved in five minutes time. McCarthy said he would agree to raise it if the Dems agreed to smaller hikes in spending, not actual cuts, just a smaller rate of increase. Biden won’t cut a penny though. Now his ancient pit bull of a Treasury Secretary is telling us it’s the end of the world if McCarthy doesn’t cave.
Hang in there, Mr. Speaker!
Not like he’d be flying Spirit Airlines. On AF1 he could have a full bed to stretch out on and an IV to manage jet lag, put him to sleep, etc. I think this is just second thoughts about exposing his accelerating decline to the foreign press who will be less inclined to cover for him.
The longer he stays out of the country the better for us. Make it permanent Joe.
super-duper-duper-extra heavy on the superlatives . . . slow eye-roll
ABC says he is returning Sunday, no Australia, no PNG.
Biden ‘re-evaluating,’ may cut Asia trip short, but not his 10%
They can just do it via Zoom.
