If Hunter is Indicted
Real Clear Politics ^ | 5/9/23 | Charles Lipson

What will President Biden do if his son is indicted by the federal prosecutor in Delaware? That’s one of three questions looming over U.S. Attorney David Weiss’ fateful choice. The second is whether the indictment will go after a larger, coordinated family scheme of influence peddling or confine itself to smaller, tightly-confined issues like lying to get a gun permit and not registering as a foreign lobbyist. The third is whether Attorney General Merrick Garland will approve Weiss’ proposed charges. Significant political calculations follow from those decisions.

It’s easy enough to answer what Garland will do. He has little choice but to approve any charges Weiss proposes after the government’s multi-year investigation. Anything else would look shady, a far cry from the neutral, apolitical justice Garland’s department is charged with dispensing. Burying the charges, after Garland’s refusal to appoint a special counsel, would embroil his department in its nastiest controversy since John Mitchell befouled it under President Nixon.

Assuming the federal attorney proposes felony charges and Garland approves them, Joe Biden faces the toughest choice of his political life.

A good overview by Lipson at Real Clear as to the options Biden and the DOJ have in dealing with the pesky Hunter matter.

I say they will just ignore it. Both Biden and the DOJ.

Joe Biden is recreating Hunter as his right-hand man in the White House rather than hiding him from the spot-light. Thus the trip to Ireland with Hunter by his side. Who is to say they have to do anything? Any honest investigator looking into Hunter's dealings can just conveniently be reassigned to no-where America or "tragically" pass away.

He gets pardoned, for anything and everything.

All Biden would have have to do, is issue a Pardon to Hunter Biden, for all crimes committed from 1900 up to the present date, and include anyone else involved in any peripheral way.

Including himeself.

Tell me that the DEMS wouldn’t cheer.

Hunter will be indicted, the evidence will be damning, but he’ll be acquitted by a DeeCee jury. The same jury that will convict J6 defendants.

President Retard will tell us he doesn’t know anything about those crooks that visited the WH for the Hunter scams.

The fake media will believe him

One of two things will happen. Either DOJ offers Hunter a plea deal that includes no jail time, or The Big Guy issues Hunter a full pardon.

They may charge him just so they don’t have to give the house the subpoenaed documents which are due wed.

“After John Mitchell befouled it…”

Nobody had worse Nixon Derangement Syndrome than I did in 1973-4.

I was wrong, of course. Anyone who still buys the narrative hasn’t looked into it properly.

There will be no indictment. The FBI reports to DOJ. The Attorney General, already proven to be one of the most dishonest, weasely, a**-lickers to ever hold the job, reports to the President. The least painful action the AG can take is to not indict. No way he indicts his boss’ son.

In a perfect world, Hunter rolls on the Big Guy... agreeing to a plea deal in exchange for testimony against Daddy. But... *sigh*... not even gonna bother getting out the popcorn bowl for this one.

I remind each and every identifiably pro-Brandon person that I talk with that a vote for Joe is the same as a vote for Hunter, and Hunter is a grifter, drug addict, porn addict, child support evader, and possible pedophile. I have yet to run across a reasonable sounding counter-argument (the consensus reaction among pro-Brandonites seems to be to stomp away in a wordless huff). (Are we approaching CW-II critical mass?)

As for the Delaware DA, David Weiss did not kill himself. Yet.

I think we could see something similar to Jim Comey’s investigation of Hillary’s emails.

Comeys investigation reported the there was evidence of legal violations, but then he said no reasonable prosecutor would take the case.

I think something similar could happen here. This guy in Delaware might say there appears to be some improprieties but they don’t rise to the level of a federal prosecution.

He might say there’s no real Smoking Gun so to speak and based on that no reasonable prosecutor would take the case.

When you are a member of “The Club” silly things like indictments or punishment are of no concern.

Club members ALWAYS protect their own.

If. Sweetheart plea deal. Pardoned by his criminal father at some point. Clinton pardoned two Federal fugitives (Ritchie and Greene) an hour before he left the White House in 2001. Biden could do the same thing, or he could just pardon him while he’s still in office since nobody seems to care about holding any Democrat accountable for the crimes they commit.
