Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) latest gun control push includes the claim that there have been “over a dozen” mass shootings in America since Friday.
Pelosi tweeted this claim Tuesday and did not include any citation to substantiate it:
We have had over a dozen mass shooting since last Friday, leaving families and communities devastated — and still, Republicans would rather ban books than assault weapons.

The Associated Press, USA Today, and Northeastern University maintain a database of mass shootings, defining the incidents as those “in which four or more people were killed other than the perpetrator.” This measurement has been standard for identifying mass shootings or mass murders for years.

She could slur out that there were 100 million billion shootings and the media would paint it as fact. Worse, many in the public would believe it.
And yet the places with the most shootings are places where Democrats have passed strict gun control laws. How does she explain this seeming contradiction?

A mass shooting is defined as “4 people involved”....so at least 48 people involved in a nation of about 335,000,000 people.
If she’s referring to Chicago specifically she’s probably not wrong.

You’re saying that because criminals are killing people, we must take away from non-criminals their most effective means of protecting themselves from the criminals.

The Democrat establishment clearly wants to run on gun control and abortion.
The Republicans should hold them to answer on the economy and illegal immigration.
The media really don’t want to let that happen.
