Bernie Sanders: government should confiscate all wealth over $999 million
American Thinker ^ | 05/01/2023 | Thomas Lifson

No billionaires at all! Not American ones, at least. That’s the newly proclaimed policy of Bernie Sanders, who most definitely is not challenging the Democrats to nominate him for president in 2024, as he did in 2020. Nope, Bernie is perfectly comfortable with the policies being followed by President Biden’s handlers.

Presumably, in exchange for not rocking the boat as he did in 2020, forcing the party’s controllers to pick an already senescent Joe Biden just because he was easy to control with all these bribes that could be exposed when needed (cough! Stay tuned as Biden’s desire for re-election now appears to be a kamikaze mission), Bernie has assurances that the hard left vector will continue no matter who is leading the party as presidential nominee in 2024.

Watch as Bernie defines ”enough” to Chris Wallace of CNN:

WALLACE: “Sir, you’re saying that billionaires should not exist. So, are you basically saying that once you get to $999 million, that the government should confiscate all the rest?”

SANDERS: “I’m saying that we should go back to a very progressive tax policy like what we had under Dwight D. Eisenhower.”

WALLACE: “Which would mean that — that — over a billion, basically it all goes to the government?”

SANDERS: “You may disagree with me, but — fine, yeah, I think people can make it on $999 million.”

Next week he will want them to confiscate wealth over $99,000. This guy shouldn’t even have a seat in the Senate . . . evil commie.

Well, he should set an example by giving up his three mansions. And why not make it $250,000? Or $100,000?
What a hypocrite!

According to Forbes, there are 735 billionaires in the US

That overage would last what? 3-4 months the way Biden is spending?

In the end he just means all wealth from everybody.

He thinks he’s Bugs Bunny drawing lines in the sand for Yosemite Sam to step over ... there is always another line till Sam falls off a cliff.

How about seizing all wealth earned by current and former US senators above that the have as if they had earned the minimum wage while they were in office.

Basically let’s just take everything they have, since it was “taken” from the taxpayers in the first place.

The people with ZERO common sense are in charge.

Those same people would not be in charge if wealth became a sin.

Those same people would be just as poor as everyone else, if the rich were to have to give up their wealth.

Wealth does not come from the bottom up, and the bottom up economies are all failures, historically and now, and will be in the future.

Musk wouldn’t have been in a position to catch Twitter in the act, by means of a successful bid to purchase the company, were he not a multimillionaire.

What Musk did was not only magnificent for society as a whole, it seems also to have been something unachievable any other way. If it were up to Sanders, though, it could never have happened, and thus would never have happened. With Musk’s good turn for society already on the books and part of U.S. history, while we are still digesting the details that prove how lucky we are that he chose to do it, why would we now act in such a way as to prevent it from ever happening again?

How about that only happens to Millionaires/Billionaires that may be shown to meddle in and steal elections, money laundering, trafficking, crimes against humanity, etc ..

But take it all from them and their heirs.

And give them 3 hots and a cot till their execution date.

How many in and around DC would want to flee the country to escape that kind of Justice?

Bernie?
You were a victim of that election stuff, too. But you were paid off by the wealthy and powerful to shut up and sit down..

So, shut up and sit down..

Communism makes envy the moral foundation of a worldview. Bernie wants to confiscate from those who have more than he does.

I’m all for it, provided it is for those that essentially got their money via connections with the government, rather than providing valuable services for consumers (i.e. the majority of billionaires today are via the monetary policy of the government and their connections to said monetary policy).

Since most of the people who have over 999 million are Democrats and use their wealth to ruthlessly support Democrat parties interests maybe we should consider this. That would teach those phoney socialists something.

Most billionaires are actually government CRONIES, created and supported by Fed.gov and a complex web of regulation, interventions, lobbying and bailouts - which are the consequence of the work of filthy marxists like Sanders.
