Fact and reality - Donald Trump has far more star power and even recognition than Ron DeSantis. DeSantis is growing, of course, but then, he has a future stretching 20-30 years into the future, and to try to rush him to the top slot right now is to court disaster.
There is strong likelihood that Joe Biden won’t even be the nominee in 2024, judging from the rapid rise of RFK Junior.
Sure, young Kennedy has a raspy voice, and some strong opinions, but he also has some of the Kennedy magic, which has still not entirely evaporated after more than sixty years. So any Republican campaign might just start keying to the growing probability that neither Joe Stolen nor “Que mala” Harris is going to be a contender in 2024. Joe is foundering, and badly, a highly visible phenomenon not lost on the majority of Democrat voters, most of whom are not even remotely Democrat Socialists

More people like Trump than DeSantis, and this is all about votes, end of the day. Campaign contributions are a traditional route to get votes, but DeSantis might be raking in a lot of money from single-issue donors because of stands that go against majority sentiment, making him less electable.

This is why Trump’s presidency was the most disastrous in American history: the Deep State ran wild because even though in the big picture, he was largely telling the truth about U.S. policy, etc., he was such a petty, absurd liar he had absolutely zero credibility. You could almost hear him say, “yeah, that’s the ticket!” after each claim.
What’s utterly dispiriting is the fact that he either seems to have learned absolutely nothing, or his campaign is nothing but pure selfish desire to be “vindicated” in his own eyes.

It is coming from donors who want to make a big splash, to fake a momentum in order to stop Trump/MAGA and the little ingrate DeSantis has been chosen for his willingness to dance to their tune.
DeSantis is shallow, grating with his whiny voice, and is all fluff, camera angles, and sunglasses.
DeSantis has a much larger warchest. Trump could easily say, "hey, the dude might be raising more money, but look who's winning the polls." But no, the thin-skinned orange dolt cannot even abide that.
And honestly, given how Trump wasted and burned through a record campaign haul during the 2020 election, I can't believe anybody would give him another red cent

It looks like to me you should have several examples if that is really true, otherwise, you are guilty of what you ae accusing others of. Jeb Bush (who by the way is backing Desantis) outraised Donald Trump big time early on, and he dropped out because he got no traction against Donald Trump’s positive message.

President Trump knows the value of a dollar. These politicians don’t.
When Desantis declares, he has to follow FEC rules just like President Trump has to now. Also, he has to report who his contributors are. The big money will go to “issue” PACs at that point.
