The man and his family have endured vicious, neverending slander for years. And, so-called “conservative Freepers” just like Leftist Liberals slander the man and focus on the few missteps while totally ignoring the unprecedented assaults and all of his many accomplishments while under unprecedented assault.
I have nothing but disdain for those “Freepers”. They are Loathsome scum. Not one of them could ever endure what President Trump and his family have endured. Not one of their select Never-Trumper candidates could survive what President Trump has endured and still remain standing and in the Pole Position. Not a single one. And this includes my Total Lack of any Personality Governor. The most Unlikeable zero charisma undeclared candidate candidate in US history.

Many are moving there for one simple reason: no state income tax. When they reach a certain income level, it makes a lot of sense. Especially if they are moving from barracuda New York State.

What a weird Trump bashing thread tonight! For the first time in generations starting in 2016, we had a country that bowed to no one or no other country. We had a president who took the utmost worst that the liberal clowns could hurl at him and his family for years. We had a president that drew respect and fear from enemy countries because he was tough, was a fighter and believed in his country and its citizens.
His achievements were the stuff of legends and he fostered hope for the future. When sons and daughers of citizens were slain in battle or in domestic violence, he was always there for them and most always in persons. He gave us an economy second to no other president in history and peace accords in the Middle East. And all this is just a small fraction of what he did for America
No, he was not a perfect president or a perfect person. But President Donald Trump was almost perfect in his respect and protection of his country, his nation and its citizens.
And all that far outweighed critism to the contrary.
For the record, I am 85 yrs and he was the best president in my lifetime and am hoping for one more chance for him to occupy the White House in 2024.
His “tactics,” as you call them, make a lot of sense. What should he do, go away and shut up, like George W. Bush? He is telling his supporters he is still there and in fighting form.
Besides, if he is fighting for us, then you can’t say he is fighting for himself. All this “ego ego ego” stuff is the usual cheap shot that nobodies make about somebodies.
If you know your Freud, “ego” is simply the part of the mind that gets things done. It doesn’t mean a medical condition called self-love, as most people think.

Take DeSantis out of this. He is not relevant to this discussion.
Trump’s attacks from the left are unacceptable because they give the left ammunition to attack conservate policy and principles.
DeSantis just happens to be a principled conservative and has governed as such. But Trump’s attacks are less on DeSantis than on those conservative principles being implemented in Florida. That is damaging to the long-term conservative cause.
That is why so many of us do not approve of Trump’s tactics here.
When Trump needs to lie about Florida and Trump needs to side with Disney/Anheuser-Busch and Trump needs to party with LGBTQ+ at Mar-a-Lago, etc, etc, etc then Trump is pushing principled conservatives away from him.
