Those that pass such laws should be personally penalized for the deliberate violation of their state's citizens Constitutional rights.
Looks like “Assault weapons” means anything that a well regulated (which means well equipped) militia would require.
Got it.
Interesting. I wasn’t aware of that case. Based on a quick glance, it appears, they said that the second amendment applies to anything that could be a bearable weapon, irregardless of when it came into common usage.
That’s probably a very good angle to look at to start over attorney unconstitutional “assault weapon” bans.
Without reading the actual legislation, I would assume it exempts state and local police from the bans and scary, looking rifles. It would be a shame, if gunmakers simply refused to sell, said rifles, or parts to repair them, to any law-enforcement agency in the state.
I wish it were that easy to block sales to certain states, but a lot of law enforcement purchasing is done via multi-state or national “public safety supply” companies, which sell everything from handcuff keys to firearms. I’ve seen “storefront” locations of those distributors where you had to flash a badge at the cctv camera to even get in the front door. IOW, not overly friendly toward the non-LEO public.
Just like most states “gun violence” is always contained to a certain diverse neighborhood. I Washington’s case it is East Seatac area and one neighborhood in Spokane. Just like Oregon nearly all violent crime is Southeast Portland.
BUT hey. We all know how gangbangers and criminals are going to obey their laws.
And it was 9-0.
Massachusetts is,of course, one of the filthiest states in the union...a state which doesn't give a rat's a$$ about constitutional rights.
Stop selling guns and ammo to Washington state law enforcement.
Use ‘em or lose ‘em.
Massachusetts is definitely one of the worst. To the south, up until Sandy Hook, Connecticut had no issue with practically any gun, including scary, black rifles, as long as it had two or fewer scary, looking features, and was effectively a “shell issue“ state.
Massachusetts has always had lists of approved guns and up until recently. It was basically the police chiefs discretion. If they want to issue a permit, even if you pass a background check, and if they did, they may not let you actually Cari outside your house.

SB 5078 prohibits the marketing of any firearms or accessories to minors, including gun holsters.

What about my old Gene Autry cap pistol holster?
Yes, and that Red Rider BB Gun that has no functioning parts in it. (Might poke an eye out with the corner of the Buttstock.)
They just cant wait for a disarmed public and the killing fields. The only one with guns will be the criminals and government
No guns, no meat, no gas and no freedom. What a hell of a republic.
I have lived in Seattle for 20 years.
I cannot recall even one multi-fatality shooting in Washington state that involved an assault rifle or high capacity magazine.
“No guns, no meat, no gas and no freedom. What a hell of a republic.”
Yup, that sums it up nicely.
I am now officially a “Rebel”.
