The fact that she married a jerk and raised another jerk, however, does speak volumes as to how wrong and mistaken she has been in life.

Exactly right. I’ll reprint here what I wrote about this issue on the Kudlow thread:
It’s not “culture war stuff”, as if that’s some trivial distraction. There is nothing more important than the moral character of the populace. All of the other issues flow from the national character. I keep having to repeat this for some reason, but this is precisely why John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Without a populace who are largely self-restrained by a moral code that is external to their own personal desire and whims, the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution become nothing more than a license for debauchery and evil. Nothing else matters if we don’t get the “culture war stuff” right, because the country will fail if the people don’t have the right moral character.
To try to trivialize national moral character and toss it aside, while instead focusing only on pragmatic issues is the epitome of “rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.” The country is sinking fast, not because tax rates are too high or because immigration policy is a wreck. Those are merely the symptoms. The disease is a populace that is so morally bankrupt that they can no longer govern themselves. All of the other pragmatic issues have occurred BECAUSE of that moral decline. If you want to fix taxes, or out of control spending, or wide open borders, etc., the only long term solution is to straighten out the people, whose out of whack values have caused all of those other problems.
My gut instinct says we have to win the culture war before we have any hope of the other wars.
My comment is not DeSantis specific. I believe that if we cede the CRT, the tranny stuff, etc, we cannot win anywhere else.
The left has made the tranny issue their hill to die on. The extreme measures to which they are resorting indicates that. That tells me that if they believe they are winning that, they will steamroll normal people right into the ground.
For the left and the trannies, Disney is their crowning achievement. Hurt Disney (if in fact it can be done - not a given) and we can demoralize these people. This is a multi front war, we can’t fight drag queens in schools and libraries and concede Disney at the same time.
Exactly. The Lord will win, but Satan does not not concede easily. Most Democrats are obeying him without question.
The GOP being convinced and agreeing to ignore the “culture wars” is what got our nation to this point! A point where men dress as women and shake their “junk” in the faces of toddlers. Anyone telling us to ignore the “groomers” going after the children is NOT on our side.
It matters not what they have done for conservatives in the past. The trans-crazies and their supporters going after children is not something I will ever ignore for political reasons in hopes that condoning such actions will help “my side” win an election.

And Conservatives were convinced to ignore the “culture wars” because they would remain on college campuses and were nothing to worry about. The GOPe guided their voters in the wrong direction and are pissed that we no longer listen to them but instead have taken a stand on the trans issue.
Surrendering in the culture war will mark the end of the Republican Party as a national party.

Basically her only issue is Trump worship.As opposed to Saint DeSantis worship.
Trump accomplished more positive results for America in one 4yr term than any President in your lifetime...and he never once had to mention Disney a threat.

DeSantis is the great “woke warrior” which won’t be enough to secure the nomination.
The issues you mentioned foreign policy, economy, energy, trade, industry, manufacturing, agriculture, etc are the ones that’ll need to be addressed.
So far when DeSantis needs a a bump up in the polls, he takes his baseball bat out & starts swinging away at a “woke tranny pinata.”
The reason this doesn’t resonate with me, unlike the list of issues you provided, is the freak show will eventually ‘burn out’ with or without DeSantis the woke warrior.
Those other issues aren’t easy and need more attention IMO.
