Counties overlapping Democrat-run cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York top the list of locales that have been losing population, while the biggest inflows of people have been to Arizona, Texas, and Florida, according to census data.
A Press Release by the United States Census Bureau revealed that the top county in terms of population loss was Los Angeles County, which lost 90,704 people over a one-year period from 2021 to 2022.
Elsewhere in California, Santa Clara County lost 15,650 people and Alameda County lost 14,840 residents.

Just to be clear - residents, not votes.
Too bad they couldn’t be “vetted” before being allowed to permanently move/reside into a red state.... They’re libs...they NEVER learn and they bring their BS voting tactics with em to destroy another good area before moving on to the next....they’re a fricken’ cancer.
Demographically, I wonder about those people who are feeling states like Calif and NY.
Are they Independents and Republicans OR are they Democrats who just move somewhere else with the sometimes unintended consequence of spreading the misery further around?
Nah... voted libertarian when I was in Kali, vote the same way now. And dems stay put or go to Austin.

Anecdotally speaking my experience is they lean Republican. 4 families in my circle of friends in CA moved to Texas, Arizona, and Florida to escape CA politics, crime, and government. The three families from CA I’ve met since moving to Central Texas moved here for the same reasons.
And the fools will go to those states and vote for the blue?????

This is probably not as good of news as I’d like it to be.
Left when the taxes on my house were $1,200 a MONTH. My taxes are now $316 a month.
Hey, Chicago, keep it up, you’re doing fine! You are market #3 now, at this rate, you will drop to #4 in about 5 years. Keep electing democrats, too. The number killed may exceed the number moving out.
Don’t California my Texas.
I am in South Carolina. Two new neighbors from New York state. They extol the low taxes of the Palmetto State and at the same time whine about lack of government services and zoning.
They shouldn’t vote for ten years in their new state. Most the Kalifornicators in TN wore masks and helped turn TN purple in state amendments last year.
We did not get the Reagan republicans.

The people going to these states aren't fools. The people going to California, at least, are immigrants, predominately from Mexico and Central America but from everywere else as well. Most of them immediately go on the gringo welfare system, with food stamps, medicaid, housing subsidies, etc., and they immediately improve their standards of living. Those with skills can get jobs and at least have the option of moving. The rest just stay and preen in their status as the new emerging majority.
So far they bucked the trend in Florida. I hope it continues.
