Mitt Romney Defends Trump After Indictment: Alvin Bragg Setting a ‘Dangerous Precedent’
Breitbart ^ | 04/04/2023 | Sean Moran

Posted on 04/04/2023 3:08:29 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said in a written statement on Tuesday that Manhattan prosecutor Alvin Bragg is setting a “dangerous precedent” by criminalizing a political opponent.

Romney, who is no fan of Trump, said in reaction to the indictment of Trump:

I believe President Trump’s character and conduct make him unfit for office. Even so, I believe the New York prosecutor has stretched to reach felony criminal charges in order to fit a political agenda. No one is above the law, not even former presidents, but everyone is entitled to equal treatment under the law. The prosecutor’s overreach sets a dangerous precedent for criminalizing political opponents and damages the public’s faith in our justice system.

The assistant dems are all verklempt that this is making Trump a sympathetic figure and clearing the field of ankle biters.

Trump is like Tyson in the 80s. They are running out of stiffs for him to knock out.

"Something’s up."

Battle lines are being drawn.
My guess: If tit for tat lawfare starts, 'omerta' among 'the club' will no longer be operative, and there's a lot of dirty laundry for Romney, and its not magic underwear.

They’re all coming out of the woodwork. NY Times, Washington Post, Mitt Romney. Even Fareed Zakaria if CNN is questioning it…

Romney isn’t doing this for Pres Trump.

His ass is in a sling with Ukraine and I’m sure other money laundering operations as well. Was it his son or nephew that was linked with Hunter on those “business deals”.

He knows that Pres Trump isn’t going to forget. And if Pres Trump is right when he says he “has it all”, ol’ Mittens just might rue the day when he stabbed the President in the back numerous times.

After Pres Trump gets out of this and if he wins in 2024, I’m thinking there is going to be hell to pay. I can see a President’s Office of Corruption, where every monday they tell the world, in detail, of all the corrupt activities of one person. That way the MSM cannot ignore anything. They’ll have to digest everything for 4 days. None of this, dropping information on Friday at 4pm

They are trying to mediate the wrath of the Trump supporter, by being conciliatory. It’s the same game. Push full on oppression and then be conciliatory afterwards.

Romney is doing this so when he turns on Trump later over one of the OTHER cases, he can say, I was against the obvious political prosecution of Trump in NY, but THIS case is different and Trump needs to face justice!

I know Mittens

That’s Romney defending Trump? No. It is not

What is wrong with breitbart?

And there’s that.

I’m waiting to see what Fanni does in Atlanta. They cherrypicked his phone call. Of course, Kemp and Raffensberger did nothing to help, but she’s an idiot and a puppet, just like Bragg. Everyone thought she was going to bring some integrity to the Fulton DAs office after she beat Howard. Nope. Just as bad, if not worse.

Do not take Romney’s statement as support for Trump. He attacks Trump in the statement. Romney is a spineless empty suit who in my opinion is not fit for office. He is worse than a Rino but we will not be rid of him as long as the Mormon leaders tell the followers to vote for this two faced politician.

It’s a line from an old tv show. Some guy was being overly dramatic and trying to emphasize how terribly serious he was when he was talking about a Bergman movie, which Ullman was in. It might have been Leslie Nielsen. So over the top that it was pure farce. Priceless delivery, as though the mere mention of her name was all that was needed.

He leads off with “ I believe President Trump’s character and conduct make him unfit for office”. Yeah Senator Scumbag really defended Trump. He made sure he attacked The President before throwing shade on this lawless DA.
