It’s not a matter of backbone that’s needed. It’s a lack of ethics. There might be some one out there that slummy on the Republican side but I doubt it
The actual lies, criminal acts, and corruption by both the Clinton and Biden families is pretty well documented and has been for years. To have a chance of restoring our nation, both will need to be prosecuted.
If this is allowed to stand, any Republican in a right leaning district who can identify a very right leaning judge has an open invitation to charge a prominent leftist Democrat on any cockamamie legal theory he can come up with.
Just get the judge to refuse to grant a change of venue and Viola! You’ve got a jury pool likely to be very hostile to the defendant anyway and now really pissed off and looking for a pound of flesh. The Defendant is screwed. You as the DA, have just bagged a great big trophy “kill” for which your voters are likely to be thankful.
That’s exactly where this leads.

Actually, it’s a venue problem. Libs control big jurisdictions where politicians work. D.C., the southern district of NY, NY City, Atlanta., etc. For the Republicans to do the same, some dem pol would have to do some bad act in W. VA, for example.
In D.C., dems control the grand jury, trial juries, the courts and the prosecutor’s office, and no, they won’t indict or convict another dem.
