Why do you think he’s banging on him in the first place? Because he knew DeSantis was planning on running against him, all along. Trump’s attacks forced DeSantis to reveal himself as a false ally. And because of Trump’s attacks, it happened on HIS timeline, not DeSantis’s.
If DeSantis is so popular and open, what are his views on the 2020 election?

Westbrook you must not be aware that, according to the Free Republic Ron DeSantis Fan Club, Florida is a now full fledged Conservative hive of activity.
And DeSantis did it all by himself. The majority Republican legislature had nothing to do with it. Nor did all the Republican County Commissions, City councils, Sheriffs and police chiefs. It wasn’t the Republican AG or SecState. All of the aforementioned with the same agenda, had nothing to do with it.
DeSantis went down to the beach grabbed some sand, turned it into DeSantis dust and Presto!!!
Of course it had ZERO to do with the influx of 883,000 Republican voters fleeing Democrats states
Hate to tell you this, but DeSantis has had his fifteen minutes of fame and he has quickly become burned toast..period!!! Had DeSantis been wise, smart and politically tuned in, he would have stood 100% behind Trump!!! He’ll never get my vote..period!!!
Florida is hardly a swing state.
Every Republican that has run for President has won Florida since 2000.
