Washington Post Bemoans Iowa's 'Sharp Right Turn' to 'Florida of the North'
Newsbusters ^ | March 21, 2023 | P.J. Gladnick

Remember how the Washington Post complained when the purple California turned solidly blue? Oh, you don't remember that? Well, that is because it never happened. However, when a formerly purple state turns red, as is the case with Iowa, the Washington Post can be counted to go into full whine mode over it as happened on Monday in a story by Annie Gowen "Iowa’s sharp right turn: From centrist state to ‘Florida of the North'."

Same reason the media is irked with West Virginia. It went, not only from purple, but from blue to red.

Just another example to prove the election was rigged. Trump won

Backwards media newspeak colors. Red is totalitarian Communist, not blue.

Just another example to prove the election was rigged. Trump won

Iowa's secretary of state, Paul Pate, saved two of the three contested US House seats in 2020 by restricting the mail drop boxes to county property, where they were under surveillance.

The DNC and its ballot fraud factories didn't waste time or money in Iowa in 2020 "getting out The Cheat" for the JoeTatoe.

If a state turns HARD LEFT that just Okey Dokey with the Washington Compost.

No word from the Compost on the three rigged "elections" in Michigan: 2018, 2020 and 2022.

And now the Lefties are running wild in the streets of Michigan's capital...

I remember the networks used to give the Republicans blue and Democrats red on their maps on their election night coverage until 1992 I believe. I think the color red and its connection to communism were being associated with the Democrats by many American voters. I’m guessing that’s why their media propagandists switched the colors!

Go back and look at the old TV coverage of those elections. There was generally no consistency in the Democrat-Republican color scheme from one election to the next — or even from one network to another.

It all changed in 2000 when it took weeks and weeks to finalize the election results — so the color-coded maps stayed around on TV news programs seemingly forever.

2000 was when the media officially switched the party colors. That the GOP never fought that deliberate mislabeling was, and remains, appalling. I never use it. Red is the historical and international color of totalitarian Socialism/Communism. Blue is the color of Conservatism.

Before Florida 2000 … different networks had differing conventions on the use of red and blue. SeeBS, for example, always used blue for the incumbent party. Other networks had their own conventions.

But that all changed when, during the media frenzy over the Florida 2000 election recount, the USA Today published a county map of the entire U.S. with the Bush counties shown in red and the Gore counties shown in blue. All the media and pundits latched onto this map for use in all their endless pontificating.

And those colors stuck to the 2 parties forever afterward…

I remember years ago Ronald Reagan’s primary colors for campaigning was blue, and the Democrats were red. Right after Reagan, everyone switched colors on every television show about elections.

Psychology at work to cover up the original meaning of “Red.”

I'm old enough to remember when the colors were blue for republican and red for democrat. Somehow that got turned around in the seventies, 80s. I suspect it was because of the Democrat leftward turn and not wanting to have people associate the red color with the “red menace” of Communism. I do remember all the democrat red tinged flags and placards at their conventions.

A sharp right turn would make it Illinois or Wisconsin.

Left turn, Nebraska. U-turn, Missouri.

Iowa went from leaning blue, to purple, to solid red.

They tried.
There was a lot of suits.

But the turning point was in the caucuses for the 2008 election, when the Ron Paul people started talking about the out right fraud going on.

In a very clear, respectful way.

The SoS actually listened and took action.

It cost Iowa though, the Dems have pulled out of the early caucuses, and will spend a lot less here.
