My house, built in 1961, has had gas stove and central heating and water heater since day one. It does not have wiring for electric stove or water heater

Mine, built in 1950 was all gas, clothes dryer too. I replaced the water heater about 10 years ago with electric and can’t remember why but when it wears out, I’m going back to gas, if they’re still available by then.
We also have gas dryer. We had electric dryer at our old house. It’s a world of difference. Clothes are dryer quicker, are fluffier and cost less to dry!.................
I hate my electric stove. After 20 years, still have a hard time regulating the stovetop temperatures. With gas, you can actually see what’s happening. And forget about trying to fold an omelette and finish on a tilted pan.
I’ve looked at converting to gas, but I’d end up spending more on the infrastructure than the stove itself.
