Georgia investigation of Trump: Yet another scam
World Net Daily ^ | March 2, 2023 | Jonathon Moseley

The determination of the Left from both the Republican and Democrat parties to stop you, er, Donald Trump, but really you, from opposing their agenda reaches the extreme.

The most serious threat to Donald Trump's reelection bid for president in 2024 has been the danger of an indictment in Georgia for his placing a perfectly appropriate phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on or about Jan. 3, 2021. This is an astonishingly precise parallel to Trump's phone call to Ukraine and the first impeachment trial. It's like a remake of a bad movie. This is dangerous to Trump because no one is responding to clarify the actual facts. The silence from Trump's lawyers is allowing the Left to run roughshod.

This particular scheme out of many is the false claim that Trump tried to pressure Raffensperger to "overturn" (that is, get correct) the results of the 2020 election for president in Georgia. However, the discussions of these events are buried amidst anti-Trump hysteria. Finding the most basic details is very difficult. It is distressing that Trump's Georgia lawyers are doing so little to defend him. The effective lawyers helping Trump are Christina Bobb, Harmeet Dhillon, Alina Habba and Jenna Ellis. And Rudy Giuliani was very assertive and a fighter. Others seem to be asleep.

On Dec. 31, 2020, Trump's lawyers finally got around to filing a 34-page federal lawsuit with 1,978 pages of evidence attached, in Trump v. Kemp, Case No. 1:20-cv-05310, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Then, on or about Jan. 3, 2021, there was a Rule 26(f) obligatory phone call. See NBC News' presentation of the phone call, but ignore the skewed opinions added.

Trump probably won’t be indicted for the call, but telling the Secretary of State quote “There’s nothing wrong with saying you, um, recalculated” was not a wise move. Get down there and do the actual work, Trump, instead of just complaining about the work that Team Zuckerberg did that beat you out.

Saying find 11,000 votes probably wasn’t the best thing to say. Problem with trump is that kemp can’t even pardon trump for five years if it would get that far. I believe that was part of why they picked Georgia to go after him.

“Saying find 11,000 votes probably wasn’t the best thing to say. “

That is entirely incorrect and sounds like you might not have read the full article.

In a lawsuit challenging an election a plaintiff
M U S T
demonstrate that there are enough votes at stake to potentially change the outcome.

This was a REQUIRED “meet and confer” conference call on their plans for discovery and possible resolution of some or all fo the lawsuit.

As REQUIRED under the law,

President Trump explained that if you find 11,700 votes that should have gone for Trump,

then the outcome of the election would have been different.

This is a NECESSARY prequisite for the lawsuit, any lawsuit, concerning any election.

No kidding. So where did he expect them to go to just magically “find 11,000 votes” for him several days after the election was over? The call was stupid. He knew these guys were against him before the election. It was about as dumb as asking Nancy Pelosi to secure the Capitol grounds for him for his J6 protest. Trump needs to start doing some of the work himself and quit trying to blame everyone else all the time, especially those he should know better than to trust.

“So where did he expect them to go to just magically “find 11,000 votes””

Trump never said that.

How do they defend him from a political grand jury investigation? It is all prosecution.

“How do they defend him from a political grand jury investigation? It is all prosecution.”

Technically, one cannot.

But at least getting the other side of the story out there and puncturing the balloons of the outrageous lies is a good way to discourage the prosecutor from totally misleading the grand jury.

The Left of both parties has tried very hard to make sure the public will ACCEPT a political indictment and prosecution of Trump.

Fighting back in public opinion would take that away from the dishonest prosecutors.

“No kidding. So where did he expect them to go to just magically “find 11,000 votes” for him several days after the election was over?”

Why don’t you try reading the entire article and listening to the phone calls,

where all your questions will be wonderfully answered.

Trump ticks off each category of votes that are false:

Dead people voting

People not old enough to vote on election day

People no longer residents of Georgia

People who voted in more than one County on the same day

Etc., etc.

These categories exceed 11,700 votes.

Brad Raffensperger says (in effect) “We disagree with your numbers.”

Trump responds (in effect) “How can you disagree with those numbers, WE GOT THEM FROM YOUR OFFICE?”

Then Trump fulfills the purpose of a Rule 26(f) meet and confer:

(in effect) Brad, so tell us what numbers you think are correct?

RAFFENSPERGER REFUSES.

So Raffensperger was in contempt of court by defying the standing requirement of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 26.

That’s the PURPOSE of Rule 26, is for both sides to “meet and confer” and exchange their positions and discuss their plans for “discovery.”

Trump did what he was required to do.

Raffensperger defied court rules.

“The call was stupid.”

The call was REQUIRED under court rules.
