When your product you sell does so from discretionary spending of the purchasers money, you may want to avoid controversy over woke fantasies. That is unless the government is going to subsidize your business thru ESG rules thru the SEC. At some point Hersheys might even get a mandatory chocolate purchase rule as a benefit of going woke.

How do real women feel about men appropriating their gender?
I don't think we ever get a straight answer on that because women generally don't want to offend. But they can't be all that crazy about all these men running around in dresses and lipstick and pretending to have menstrual periods and whatnot.
